I don't usually leave reviews but want to save some one the trouble! As soon as we arrived, the roads were so very narrow! We BARELY made it around a sharp corner into our site & we only have a 20ft camper! The "picnic table" which was half rotted and mismarked with the wrong campsite number. We almost left after the hassle of getting into the site. The owners when we met them previously promised "wooded" sites that were "not close together" YEAH RIGHT! It was essentially an RV parking lot. No trees in our site at all. There was a road on either side of our site so it was incessant foot traffic of dogs, kids, people, and golf carts. Our dog is a puppy and gets very excited over other dogs, it was a constant fight to keep him controlled and calm with the constant traffic on either side. We couldn't relax at all! There was ZERO privacy in our site. Our neighbors camper was within 12 ft of our camper (photo attached). Our view on both sides of us was our neighbors camper. We were so miserable we left a day early, the owner showed no concern for why we left early, didn't ask, didn't care I guess. Such a massive disappointment we were so excited to camp here. I needed a vacation from my vacation. The owners treated us nicely but this place is SO not what we expected or what we were told! Will never EVER return!

Soviet style camping! Only missing razor wire and armed guards! Level 3 Karen's! No one younger then 60 allowed! I came to vist a friend after being cut off by a golf cart, I had to check in no big deal. After getting grilled about how I know my friend, the interrogation didn't stop it was turned on me, page of questions, (wife in the car, names ect ect) I made comment about intense/depth of questions the owner stated police call all the time for criminals in the camp ground asking whos there and State campground inspectors......I find this far fetched, the lady went on to Bragg how much tighter security was during covid..... after all that they wanted $10 to vist my friends for 30-45 mins nope..... I was very uncomfortable with the information they asked very annoyed with the fee..... picture of the camp ground behind me were it belongs. Look at your reviews....over haul the way you do things.....

Friendly staff, great location, beautiful lake. Reading some of these reviews baffles me because people are acting like they're staying at a 5 star hotel complaining about cabins being dirty. We are CAMPING here. The whole point is to be in nature which news flash, is dirty😂. As for people saying that the staff is rude this could not be further from the truth, I'm 19 years old and the lady in the office was very kind about telling me about the campground and things to do around town. She even let me pick whatever tent site I wanted since I'm the only one staying in a tent this weekend. The only thing that was unpleasant was the train that came through at 2am but I knew what I signed up for when I booked a campground that is next to train tracks. Great campground, and very affordable, would definitely recommend staying here.

So after a weary 1900 miles and spending a week at an amazing motel hotel in Newport I came out here. The couple are so kind and absolutely just down to earth and extremely lovely. The campground is definitely old the cabins by the lake are definitely circulation 1920s 1930s, but the rustic charm is just wonderful , reminds me a lot of the old cabins around the lakes. I grew up around an upper state New York. The campground is immaculate, bathrooms and shower spotless plenty of hot water. The pool is spotless. It’s about 97% families here some long-term seasonal renters that are just wonderful . Everybody is so friendly and kind ,so glad I found this place. It has been restful and calm.☺️ It is just what this weary roving Scotsman needed

🙏💕 The Owner's are very nice they do care alot about there Camper's. The Cabin's have gotten some updates like the FRIDGE which is nice. Maybe next year try and make a new set of steps for each Cabin. It sure would make it easier for the elderly and one's who are handicapped. I REALIZE you have been THROUGH ALOT lately so the step's aren't a priority because they are in working condition. All of the SOLAR light's you have added look amazing along with the Lawn Ornaments. Also the playground area you have added alot more and are doing an amazing job at owning your Campground. 🏕🎣🏊🏀🌅🤗💕

I've actually stayed in a cabin at this campground when I was a little girl. Close to 50 years ago!! The original cabins are still standing and rented but unfortunately look to be in pretty rough shape. Some t l c is definitely needed. We had a perfect campsite on the water. Was beautiful. The bathrooms were immaculate. So clean and fresh. The grounds appeared to be clean and tended. The staff were friendly and courteous. Would definitely go back

We only stayed the weekend but wished we had more time. Everyone was warm and welcoming. The owners went out of their way to accommodate our needs. Seasonal guests were super friendly too. They offered a variety of events such as a bonfire and karaoke. They even came around with popcorn after dinner. The lake was beautiful and the campground was well kept and clean. The bath house and bathrooms were so clean that one would wonder if they were used yet, the campground was at capacity. Reading other postings about this place makes me wonder if they are writing about a different campground..?? We liked it so much that we have taken some time off work so that we can get in another few days there next week. Can't wait!

Tent sites are down a very steep hill on uneven ground. Only 1 was semi flat. Their map says there are bathrooms at the office near the tent sites but instead there a 2 porta-potties. They were accommodating when we changed sites and arrived late though.
