I really really loved this campground. The amenities of a clean bathroom, trash near the bathrooms and water spigots at each site (this one was the best imo) - were all fantastic. The beach access was awesome and easy. We ended up using one of the first come campsites on the lower level and it was definately lovely - aside from one VERY annoying thing, every time we ate - a swarm of Yellow Jackets came out. My kids took to eating in the front part of out tent (there is a seperate section from the sleep area that is netted and open) and youre not supposed to do this due to bear country but after my 3 year old was stung in the face (bitten and stinger) I wasnt worried about them being in there and wiped the floor down with clorox wipes. We will be camping here again but Ill be bringing wasp traps and deterrent.

Nice campground, beautiful area with a great river spot, but the bottom campground has a lot of road noise.

In July, it's hot, dry and no fun if you're handicapped and can't get down to the river. I'm sure it's quite beautiful in spring. Restrooms are pit toilets that are kept very clean.

It was ok....the bathrooms were not cleaned or restocked the entire weekend we were there and the above loops need to be opened. If they were opened campers could get further away from the road noise. Over all its a nice campground across the road from the Trinity River and we spent most of the days on the river so I cannot complain too much. I would just love to be able to camp in those upper loops as well.

The water is down so we didn't get any water at all. We had to use our own water to douse out the flames in our campfire. Very nice Campground with the riverfront campsites. 12 dollars per night. I would give it 5 stars if water is available.

Seasonal and close to the State route 3. Trinity River access is superb. Clean campground with shaded sites
