First, I want to say that this review is not directed at or reflects the manager of the Laredo location. Gary hands are tied, he is simply strapped and unable to serve his customers by non-caring, non-actions of the Corporation that he works for. This has been my personal experience with this company. They lure you in with “free” 1st month free rent, and low rates. Then after a short amount of time they increase your rate. For months now there has been a thick layer of ice in front of the units’ doors. It is UNSAFE. Their answer to this problem appears to be waiting and letting it melt on its own. The snow removal company they hire does a poor job, pushing snow in front of unit’s doors, and creating piles of snow that blocks access to units, and pathways. Again, they seem to take the wait and let it melt attitude. Keeping emergency exit gates locked from the inside, thereby trapping you inside the yard. Will not repair the main gate access problem. Overall security of all units, and the yard is lacking. I have called the “District Manager” multiple times. I have called, emailed, messaged the corporate office multiple times. This has been over a month and a half ago, and to date have not gotten one response. The ice shown in my pictures, is roughly half of what it used to be.

I used Smart Stop storage for nearly three years. Wonderful experience overall. Never had issues with the complex or my unit. Security is top notch. Every employee I’ve spoke to or dealt with was very nice. Would definitely use them again if the time comes.

Absolutely wonderful and insightful experience. Gary answered literally every question I had before I had to ask it. Fully gated with entry and exit coding. Inside units available. Very clean and neat. Top tier customer service. Gary was outstanding.

I've used the services of several Storage places in my life & I am telling Everyone who'll listen that This SmartStop Self Storage is the Best I've ever used. This isn't just a 'first impression' review either. I've been with This place for over 2+ years & I've had No Problems or issues with any part of their service or staff. I'm currently in a climate controlled unit as I have several pieces of antique furniture I want to keep as 'unstressed' as possible & because they have the most reasonable rate for this option as I've ever found. They also have some of the finest management & staff I've ever had the opportunity to work with. Gary, the onsite manager, is the Greatest. He's always on top of things, remembers who I am & has helped me figure out everything I've ever had any questions about. He's also a great to talk to & gets back to me quickly any time I've left a message for him. I have no problems moving things in or out of my unit. Their hours work well for me & the place is always clean, comfortable & well lit. A very good place to go!😊

Staff here is pretty amazing! Thankfully you can actually call and talk to someone on the phone, the facility is clean and secure with entry access pass on entry and exit. There is plenty of space for trailer parking closely accessible to both freeways. Have a few spots around town and this is by far one of our favorites so far.
