We held our wedding reception at the Soaring Hawk. From start to finish, the process was excellent. Misty Kolar and her team worked hard to ensure we didn’t have a thing to worry about. The lodge was immaculate, the outdoor areas were clean for guests to sit and enjoy the beautiful scenery and they were available for questions and to problem solve anything that came up (as things do!)! The catered food from their family-owned restaurant, The Gateway, was fantastic!! Everyone we spoke to raved about the food. We can’t say enough good things about this experience. Thank you!!

Full disclosure, I never set foot in the park. But I did need to cancel a reservation over a month before arriving and they are charging me 10 percent of the total value of my reservation to do so. I spoke to the park and they pointed out that it was buried in their terms and conditions, but who reads those when making an online reservation for a campground?! Anyway, I think they should clearly state on the landing page for their website that you cannot cancel any reservation without penalty regardless of how much advance notice you provide. The site does not say that in a way that most would actually take notice. I've been RV'ing for over 10 years and never heard of such a harsh policy, especially over 30 days away from a reservation. BEWARE!

Best camping trip ever! Very spacious sites. Stayed for the Independence day celebrations. We have already booked for next year.

Beautiful area off the beaten path! So much to do including the Trail of the Couer d'Alene. Couer d'Alene was about 30 minutes away but we enjoyed exploring the smaller towns instead. Soaring Hawk is beautiful offering large spaces with water & electric. Large dog park situated under the trees. Full laundry facilities and a big area with a deck for large gatherings. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back, if in the area again.

Super clean and quiet. We used Soaring Hawk as our base for a week of exploring the area and riding our ebikes. Totally recommend.

Very nice well maintained campsite. Gravel, no mud in this rain. Many sites with a view of the valley. Trees, grass. Very friendly helpful staff. Not exactly a resort. No amenities. No sewer at site, no showers, no lounge, no cable, no picnic tables, lousy Wifi. If you are just looking for a very nice place to park and hook up to water and electric. This is your place.

We are so impressed with how large the spots are here! Soaring has the peace & quiet of boondocking while still having water & power. It has a grassy 2 fenced dog park including a doggy pool that all 3 of our dogs loved. We never saw anyone else at the dog park & the dogs had lots of room to run & play. The laundry was clean & efficient. The dump station is also very clean & easy. They have a honey wagon that comes around 2 days a week if you want to use the service. Soaring is the perfect place to stay to hike, fish & swim Heyburn State Park, bike the Coeur d’ Alene trail & spend time in the sweet town of CDA. Thank you for running such a lovely park!

We stayed at the Soaring Hawk RV Resort in our 40’ Super C motorhome towing a Jeep. We had absolutely no problem pulling into the resort and when we arrived we couldn’t believe how spaced out it was. We had plenty of room to unhook our Jeep and had easy access to our very large back on site. Once we walked around we saw how large the resort is and how many spacious sites they have. The lodge and laundry room are very nice and the views are nice as well. There are many shaded sites as well as full sun sites. The prices are very reasonable for such a nice resort. We would definitely stay here again.

Easy to park, no tables, no showers (since it is rv makes sense but ours quit working) some spots are only gravel no grass, higher numbers have more shade. Higher numbers are further away from the very loud party building. We camped for peace n quiet and it was VERY loud in the evenings. We left 1 night early because of it. Lower numbers don't have the nice views. Dog park was too packed so can't comment either way. IF we ever go back we will get spots towards the exit for sure. One Porta potty up top that had a plugged urinal but otherwise clean. More of a party park tbh, no thanks.

This campground is mostly quiet and peaceful. It is 4 miles away from an awesome paved rail trail path. Some things we loved…the quiet!! The staff is very friendly and helpful. The “lodge” is pretty and has a great view. The sites are large, which we needed, but the hookups are far back so it was a little difficult to fit on the site properly between that and the trees being in direct way of our slide (if you have a smaller rig this wouldn’t be an issue). Some things we didn’t love…the entire area is gravel…normally not a big deal however the inclines in the campground were substantial and our tires spinned a bit. It is also difficult to walk on so we didn’t walk as much as we normally do. There is not a public shower which we prefer, and the public restrooms are a hike, unless you do not mind going in a porto-potty. Be aware that sewer hookups are not at your site but they do offer a pump out service and 2 dumps on the way out.
