Definitely recommend this State Park! From the Employees being ON POINT & Very Welcoming. The campsites are immaculate. Clean boathouses too. If you've not stayed here I highly recommend you do! Bring fishing poles & water toys.

Being that this is my first and only experience in a Louisiana state park I don't have much to compare it to🤫 but I'm not easily impressed. This campground is very very nice.👍🏻 Cleverly designed with the few pull-through sites being in the center of the loop!➰ Much thought has gone into design and placement. This park has a beach, it has primitive tent sites in a separate area with picnic areas. It's got wonderful cabins, but they're actually houses on the water! 😉And they have their own little neighborhoods in a complete different section. Some of the RV sites have a huge wooden deck. And some RV sites also have tent sites behind them. I was here for 4 days before I discovered an isolated primitive tent camping area, on its own peninsula across from the beach. 😲 They have provided elevated wood platforms for your tent⛺ and in some places Adirondack chairs.🪑 It also sports its own disc golf course.🤓 It's called Hippie Point out on the 💚 green diamond 💎 trail. There's a tremendous disc golf course here. 😎 Concrete sidewalks allow a pathway between each tee off area which is also concrete. I almost forgot to mention about the group event building 😱 Extremely fancy. It's in a different section of the park. Right on the water. A huge modern building, with a nature center! Nothing like I've ever seen in a state park! 😳 I must make particular mention of another first for me.😲 Wheelchair accessible tent site!👨🏻🦽⛺ Kudos to Louisiana State Parks.. and it's not totally out in the wilderness. It is close enough to access the bath house🚿🚻 which incidentally also has 🧺 laundry. And it's the most reasonably priced at only 175 for a 26-minute wash.🫢 That's half of anywhere else! If you don't have quarters, you are required to use a proprietary app☑️ which you preload with funds. 💱 You will end up with an unused balance. 🤷🏻♂️ Some very nice trails 🥾along the waterfront and of course you can leave the campground and bike along the dam. 🚴🏻♂️ Or take your four-wheeler on miles of other trails nearby. Oh, did I mention the beach?⛱️ Last couple of notable mentionables; this park actually has boat docks with boat slips! Located behind the premium sites with wood decks, but I don't see that stopping people in other parts of the campground from using them. 😜That's quite an unusual perk.🤩 I've never seen that anywhere! Complete with shore power🔌 and a nighttime street lamp.💡 And lastly, Louisiana State Parks accepts your national senior park pass! 🥸

Our camping group spent 4 days here. Camping sites were paved but extremely unlevel. Bath house and laundry was clean. Several fishing piers, boat launch, nice cabins, and a swimming area. 50 amp and water. Dump station. No cable. Bring your startlink or Verizon Hotspot. We didn't watch much TV. We fished, had cookouts for the 16 of us, rode e bikes, golf carts, motorcycles, played corn hole, horse shoes, card, & dice games. We also went to the moonshine festival in Leesville.

My family of 6 spent four nights in an amazing cabin. It was able to sleep all of us with plenty of room. The scenery was beautiful and the kids loved it. It is definitely worth making a trip here.

Camped there in a 35' motorhome. Site 37 had an amazing view. Many camping pads have a lean to them, but we were able to level without a problem. Wish there were sewer hookups, but bathhouse was clean with nice hot showers.

We head three night stay in cabin 10 in South Toledo Bend State Park in October 2024 and had a great experience. Perfect weather and park was less than half full. We appreciated the trick or treating for the kids. The park is clean and well kept. The bath house/comfort station is clean, water stays hot. There are washers and dryers there that you can use your phone to pay. The playgrounds are well maintained. The cabin was very clean. No bugs or cobwebs. Linens were clean and fresh. Dishwasher pods, dawn soap, sponge, toilet paper, hand soap, and one extra trash bag are supplied. Don't forget your own paper towels, shampoo and body soap. There is a hair dryer in the bathroom. Broom and mop provided as well as some pots and pans, cups, bowls, plates and utensils. There is a microwave and coffee pot as well. There are four bunks, a full size bed, and sofa pull out for sleeping. Linens and pillows are provided for them all. There is a TV with satellite cable. There is a screened porch and a picnic table and fire ring with grill grate (no actual grill at the cabin but I saw some near the playground). Heads up on cell service, we have AT&T and our signal was very poor. Our parents had T-Mobile and theirs worked well. Thank you SOTB, you guys are doing a great job!

Absolutely beautiful park. The sites are spacious and well kept. The visitors center has lots of wonderful local information and artifacts and the best sunset view. The restrooms are clean. We were fortunate enough to be there during a blue moon and seeing it over the lake was wonderful. We will definitely be back!
