We stayed two nights at the Southern Gap campground and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. The campground was peaceful, and the bathhouse was incredibly clean and well maintained—one of the best we've come across! The trail system was a huge highlight: clearly marked, well maintained, and easy to navigate. We rented a UTV from Haysi Outdoor and couldn’t have been more pleased with the rental and the trails. To top it all off, we were even lucky enough to see elk during our stay—which was such an amazing and unexpected experience! One thing to note: if you're coming from Tennessee with an RV, be sure to call Southern Gap ahead of time for driving directions. Our GPS took us down a road that was definitely not RV-friendly, and unfortunately, we ended up damaging our awning. A quick call can save you the same trouble! All in all, we had a great time and would absolutely recommend Southern Gap Outdoor Adventure. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

Gorgeous place to visit, great views, the venue building beautiful, bath houses were clean, camper spots had plenty of room, and right next to multiple trails, saw plenty of elk and deer

Spent the weekend camping with my oldest daughter in a tent. We had the best time at Southern Gap. Loved the camping area and really loved that it was a secluded area. The staff are truly Awesome and got to meet Bailey who’s new in the office she was great. In the three years I’ve been coming up to Southern Gap for Elk projects I’ve never had a bad experience Paige and Billy Campbell have a great place there and I intend to go back and camp there again.

We had an excellent time. We attended the Big Game Dinner and on the next day...an elk tour. The people were fantastic. Truly could still how much effort and care they put into everything and how much they put into the human/ sense of community aspect of it as well. The food was delicious! And the Elk Tour was something truly special. Elk Fest was a great event. Looking forward to coming back soon!!!

Too dusty and too many fluffy bunny trails. Bring UTV Takeover to the Mountain View trail. It would be much better.

This is a great place to stay and enjoy the great outdoors. The cabins are spacious and clean with all the comforts of home and the camp sites have all the hookups and a very clean bathhouse/restroom. The employees are very customer driven and knowledgeable regarding the trails and surrounding areas. Beautiful scenery is plentiful and I was lucky enough to see some elk up close. I will definitely return as soon as possible. Thanks to all at Southern Gap Outdoor Adventure for a wonderful time!!!!

Very nice and clean cabins the beds and pillows were comfortable. The water pressure and supply of hot water was good. Amazing views, the rocking chairs on the front porch was very relaxing drinking coffee in the morning and nice to watch stars at night. Clean nice bath house friendly and helpful staff ! Best scenic trails on the canyon trails would be a excellent place to take the wife or girlfriend that's not into just another trail ride . Most of those trails are green . Mixed terrain of woods and hill climbs that will excite most riders are on the other side ! We seen 5 Elk ! One of My favorite ride spots!
