Location & Surroundings

Located approximately 12 miles west of Tonasket, the resort sits in a transition zone between the fertile valley floor and the rugged Okanogan Highlands. The landscape is characterized by rolling hills, sagebrush, and pine-clad ridges. Spectacle Lake itself is a highlight of the region, known for its clear waters and relatively warm summer temperatures. The surrounding area is sparsely populated, ensuring that the starry night skies remain a primary feature of the evening experience for campers. The drive to the resort is an experience in itself, showcasing the diverse geography of Washington State.

Amenities & Park Features

The resort provides a variety of site options, including full-hookup RV spaces that accommodate different rig sizes. On-site amenities are designed around the lake lifestyle to ensure guests have everything they need for a comfortable stay. Key park features include:

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

Anglers will find Spectacle Lake particularly rewarding, as it is frequently stocked with rainbow trout and spiny ray fish. Beyond the water, the Sinlahekin Wildlife Area is a short drive away, offering miles of hiking trails and prime wildlife viewing opportunities. Guests can explore the historic charm of Tonasket or take a scenic drive through the Loomis-Oroville area. The region is also popular for birdwatching and photography, thanks to the diverse ecosystems ranging from lush riparian zones to arid, golden hillsides.

Who This Park Is Best For

This resort is an ideal choice for fishing enthusiasts and families seeking a traditional lakeside vacation. It appeals to RVers who prefer a quiet, natural setting over a high-traffic urban park. Been here a couple years in a row now. Staff is great. There seems to be the same large group At the same time there every year. They are super nice and share their beer. Think it’s the same group Anne mentioned in her review. Don’t know why she would say they’re all loud, the only loud one is a tall brunette.

This is a rustic place with full hook up camping and a selection of hotel rooms on the lake. Hotel has full kitchen with just about everything you could need. The place is clean and well managed. I repeat rustic! Not fancy, but comfy and who doesn't love a lake view?! We've been coming for years, other campers quite friendly. Fishing can be good and it is a popular lake for the sport. Family vibe is awesome!

Beautiful resort located in a great spot! It’s a bit dated but I think it’s cool that way. Would not stay in a cabin again, for a few reasons. The door did not lock from the inside(having an infant this was a big concern, as I don’t like the idea that anyone can walk in at any time) and the outside lock didn’t work most of the time. This may just be lack of knowledge but the cabin has a propane stove, (I’m sure the others do as well) and it was so hot it was not able to be touched, unfortunately some food got wasted because it was set near the stove, a warning may be useful for those who don’t know those older propane stoves. One evening our entire room smelled like propane, which we are very thankful this did not happen in the middle of the night, there was no alarm anything but the smell was so strong it made me feel sick. The maintenance guy pretty much just asked “well what do you want me to do about it?” We figured it out on our own and turned the main line off. Next time we will just bring a camper or tent. The lady at the front desk was very kind, but we felt the maintenance man was fairly rude about the propane issue. We had a great time aside from those things.

Been coming here for years with family! Normal rooms (not the suites) come with a fridge, bunkbeds and kitchen cupboards and appliances. Suites come with 3 normal beds and a full kitchen with fridge and microwave, backyard, lounge room and more. Only downside is some furniture is old a d worn out, and the #14 has dead ants more often than not. There is common ground behind the long line of rooms with a rocky beach for boats and swimming, but the lake is very cold even in springtime. There is also a convenience store with cheap prices up the road, a net for volleyball or badminton, and also an RV park. Staff is extremely nice and so are the neighbors! 9/10 family getaway
