Cabins were clean. Grounds are well kept. Nice general store. With mini golf, a pool, and a small park, this place is great for a young family or grandparents taking kids out. Everyone observed quiet time restriction. Bathrooms are very nice for a camp sight or any where really. Staff was kind and understanding. Well worth the money for a small group of friends celebrating a birthday.

What a beautiful little campground - nestled into the rolling farmland and hills southwest of Springfield. Lots of wildlife to view. The staff were so helpful. We will definitely return when in the area.

The campground is very nice and the location worked out great for us. However, I attempted to take my dog to the dog park and I could smell it before we got close! I could not bare the smell, it made me queasy. I don't know if it was that the trash had not been emptied in a long time, or possibly they had just spread some ripe fertilizer. Iwas very grateful our site was not close to the dog park!!!

Needed a safe, reasonable place to stay one night as I passed through the area. Other KOAs have been underwhelming in my experience. This one, however, was great! The location was quiet and beautiful. The (tent) site was nice with a great fire pit, picnic table, ample flat area and its own parking. The bathrooms were clean with nice hot showers. I pass through the area on a regular basis and will definitely stay here again.

We loved the rural setting for this KOA -- we even saw a few deer :-) We used this campground as our home base for exploring the Lincoln sights in downtown Springfield, so coming home to the quiet/peaceful campground after a day of urban hiking and hustle-bustle was the perfect ending for the day. We visited in mid-May 2025. If we are ever in this area again, we will definitely stay here. The showers and restrooms are very clean. We enjoyed meeting and talking with the owners who stopped by our campsite to say hello.

We stayed one night at the Springfield, IL KOA and were pleasantly surprised by how peaceful and beautiful it is! The campground is tucked back in the trees, giving it a quiet, forest-like feel — perfect for relaxing after a travel day. Our pull-through site was just the right size, easy to navigate, and very clean. The entire campground felt well-maintained and thoughtfully laid out. The on-site camp store was one of the best we’ve seen — well-stocked, tidy, and super convenient. Big shoutout to the front desk staff — the woman who checked us in was incredibly sweet and helpful, making us feel right at home. This was just a quick overnight for us, but we’d absolutely stay again. Highly recommend if you’re passing through the area!

We stayed here for 13 weeks...June - September. This campground is very nice and quiet. Totally off the beaten path down a quiet tree lined country road. You are literally in your world here. Great place to connect with nature. Pull through spots are spacious. There is a nice pool. We had a really nice time here and look forward to coming back!

Very clean campsite, bathrooms, showers and grounds. Staff was super friendly and helpful too. Bouncy castle for kids, very clean pool...seemed to have many activities. Remote, down a country road. We even saw a family of deer as we were leaving. Would stay again if ever in the area.

We stayed for a weekend during the Illinois state fair. Our family had a race car in the USAC race. It was far enough from town that it felt remote and secluded but close enough that within 2 miles we were by the beautiful lake/reservoir area and a few more minutes right into the Springfield area of restaurants and entertainment. The campground was so clean and such an easy in and out. Hardly any mud-dirt areas. Almost everything was rock and grass. Nice level spots, a small dog park, quiet and calm area. Clean restrooms/shower house and a nice camp store with the friendliest workers!!! We are adding this to our list of every year for the state fair!

We had a group of about 20 that stayed in 3 cabins and the tent sites. It was affordable and really nice park! The restrooms/showers were always clean and the owners were really helpful and quick when we had a problem with ground nests of bees that were in our site. Note that they are very serious quiet time begins at 10:30, they should consider moving it back a little later at least on the weekends. Also, no wifi. Overall great time!
