Leash requirements not followed. Our leashed dogs were attacked by a loose bull dog that the owner called "brave" for attacking. Really upsetting. Not an apology or a shred of taking respinsibity.

We stayed using Passport America, so the price was fantastic. The staff at the office in the store were quite helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Our pull through site was very level, water pressure was good. Even with several atv enthusiats coming in and out, folks were respectful. The highway noise was barely discernible during the night, making for a quiet sleep. For our purpose of visiting Deadwood, Lead, and Ta'tanka, it's location is great. It might be a bit far to the monuments south. We will recommend Steel Wheel to others.

We loved Steelwheel! The owners were very friendly, and the office and store was clean and well stocked. The food was great! Laundry and bathhouse was also clean. The only negative is that they need better wi-fi coverage.

We went with a large group and were all very happy in choosing this campground. Several of us camped and a few were in the cabins. Nice large campsites, clean shower house, super friendly and helpful staff! Was also really close to several OHV trails.

Very nice campsites. It is easy to get in and set up, even with a big rig. Great access to local off-road trails.
