After hitting a few months of financial difficulty I was behind on my storage unit rent. I did get one phone call from them telling me I was late. I went on Saturday 8/30 to get something from my unit. They had auctioned off all of my things. I lost everything for $320 in back rent. I was coming with a check. I wonder if companies like this make more money from the auctions than the rentals. I guess it's big business. Somebody made out with all of my life. I am going to small claims court to sue them. DO NOT TRUST THEM. Updated regarding response from owner: Um, yeah, except you did not follow any of the outlined procedures. Your manager, Damien, traded my entire unit for a car on craigslist. I was 31-days behind in the rent. He didn't want to reach me, he wanted a new car. Sure, you fired him, but you failed to settle any of the issues with me. Like why was my Asteroids machine still in your storage facility AFTER the "auction?" And setting up shell corporations to protect bogus property management is not a very good example of your company procedure. Their lawyer said this to my lawyer after not shaking his hand in the courtroom, "We will never settle. We do this all the time." That's the mentality of storage unit slum lords. Go with the lowest cost get lowest service. Below is a photo of my Asteroids unit for sale on Craigslist a week after my auction. OOPS. FAKE REVIEW ALERT: Check out Rick Perry's other reviews. Hmm... He only reviews Great Value Storage facilities and always gives them 5-stars. Again, more FAKE information about a bad company. And why use Rick Perry as the fake name. Are these entitled Republicans? Trump supporters even? I actually began the process of taking Great Value to court. We were winning the case when they got to our start witness. He was testifying that their property manager had actually called him about an old Volvo on Craislist and offered to trade him the contents of my storage unit for the car. Everything else was a lie. They NEVER AUCTIONED my storage unit, though they faked the documents to show they did. They NEVER CONTACTED ME about my late rent, because the property manager was already cherry picking my music equipment and making offers to trade for cars on Craigslist. When my "buyer" got frightened off, he said he would not testify against Great Value Storage. Feel free to contact me and I'll share the legal interrogatories with you. We had to drop the case when they bought off our 'buyer' and could not locate their "former property manager." They claimed he had no forwarding address.

I rented one of the largest units at this facility for 22 months and the manager, Roger, has always been respectful, timely and organized. In the middle of all of the changes on the frontage road as well as changes inside the storage facility, I have not had a negative experience whatsoever. For the price, what I got was reasonable. I chose this facility for its price as well as its proximity to my job. If I ever move back to Austin, I know which storage unit facility I'd use again. I wish storage facility managers were more like Roger.

I am very please at how helpful and accommidating the sevrice was at this place. I need a place to storge my car that had broken down. Every place I called was way over priced and gave me the run around. This place was so helpful! He made the whole process so easy! Thank you so much!
