Sturgis RV Park
Overview
Sturgis RV Park serves as a centrally located destination for travelers exploring the rugged beauty of the Black Hills. Located just blocks from the heart of the famous town, it offers a blend of convenient access and essential comforts for long-haul travelers and seasonal visitors. Whether you are arriving for the legendary motorcycle rally or seeking a quiet home base during the shoulder season, the park provides a reliable environment with spacious sites designed to accommodate a variety of rig sizes.
Location & Surroundings
The park is situated on the eastern edge of the Black Hills National Forest, offering a transition from the rolling plains to dramatic mountain peaks. Its position within the city limits allows guests to enjoy a walkable layout to local restaurants, shops, and museums. Unlike more remote forest camps, this park places you directly in the local culture while maintaining a clear view of the surrounding granite ridges and pine-covered hills that define the South Dakota landscape.
Amenities & Park Features
Functionality is the focus of the facilities here, ensuring a stress-free stay for modern RVers. The park features full hookup sites with both 30 and 50-amp electrical service to keep your coach powered through the summer heat. Guests have access to essential utilities including high-speed Wi-Fi, clean laundry facilities, and private shower houses. The sites are mostly level gravel pads, designed to facilitate easy setup for larger motorhomes and fifth-wheels looking for a stable foundation.
Nearby Attractions & Things to Do
Staying here puts you at the gateway to some of the nation’s most iconic landmarks. A short drive leads to the historic streets of Deadwood or the scenic curves of Spearfish Canyon Scenic Byway. Outdoor enthusiasts can easily reach Bear Butte State Park for hiking or head south to visit Mount Rushmore National Memorial and Crazy Horse Memorial. The local area is also home to the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum & Hall of Fame, celebrating the town’s deep-rooted mechanical heritage.
Who This Park Is Best For
This park is an ideal choice for travelers who prioritize location and convenience over secluded wilderness. It is perfectly suited for big-rig owners who need reliable infrastructure and easy navigation without tight forest roads. Social travelers will appreciate being close to the downtown action, making it a top pick for those attending major events or families who want a centralized point from which to launch daily excursions across the Black Hills region.

We've stayed at this RV park several times and have not been disappointed. The lots are large and well maintained. The restrooms and laundry are very clean. It is within walking distance of several restaurants. It also gives Passport America discounts during the week, Sunday thru Thursday.

We had an amazing stay at Sturgis RV Park! The park is well-maintained, very accommodating, and perfectly located right in the heart of Sturgis. It is close to everything in town, which made it easy to enjoy the local shops, restaurants, and attractions. The surrounding beauty of South Dakota is just minutes away—we loved exploring the waterfalls, scenic drives, and nearby parks. The RV park itself has great amenities, and the clubhouse is a wonderful place to relax and gather. Everything about our stay was comfortable and convenient, making it one of our favorite RV experiences. Highly recommend Sturgis RV Park if you are visiting the area—you will not be disappointed!

We planned to do a family reunion at this RV park. I was a little reluctant because I have young kids and wasn’t sure if this was going to be family friendly. Immediately on arrival it was evident it was going to be awesome. We went in early summer. The park was clean and well maintained. I felt so safe letting my kids go to the city park just across the street. The area this park is in feels so safe. The views from where we stayed overlooked all downtown Sturgis and behind that the Black Hills. Looking out over the hills from the RV park in the evenings watching the storms roll in quickly became one of our favorite things to do on the trip. My kids loved the nature too, hiking up to the hill top and looking at the deer and turkeys that always were right around. The event center was so cool for our reunion. The little kids all the way to the old folks had a great time. Could not have been happier with our stay, one of my best vacations with my family ever!

My extended family and I came here for a reunion, and it could not have been more perfect! The space accommodated all of us comfortably, and the view was absolutely beautiful. The atmosphere is lively yet welcoming, making it a great spot for all ages (we had family members ranging from 7 to 80+). Plus, it’s not too far from so many of South Dakota’s amazing sites and natural wonders. I definitely recommend making the trip and staying here—you won’t regret it!

Great campground close to all of the Sturgis fun and had shuttles to Buffalo Chip, Full Throttle, and downtown. Everyone at the facility was very kind and constantly trying to support their campers. The views are great from the upper levels and you can’t beat the $3 beer. On our way out we had some struggles with locating supplies needed to safely transport our motorcycle and the owner and two other gentleman were there to help us out. Definitely recommend this campground and hope to stay here again.

Very nice. All spots on the lower level have a nice long cement pad. Not sure about the upper level.

It's a neat little Old Town out of old buildings and as usual a bunch of t-shirt shops and bunch of bars something to see

Great access to downtown, and Da Bus (during motorcycle rally) pickups. Also have a shuttle service. Property is kept up well, and they represent the good ol USofA with the biggest flag in Sturgis. I'd put it in the top 3 in the Sturgis area. Best part location, location, to downtown.
