Sunrise Sands is a great place to stay, whether you are camping long term or for just a short stay. The manager Riley is wonderful. He is so friendly and helpful and Pam, the gal in the office is a real sweetheart. Also it is very well situated for all kinds of shopping, varied activities and entertainment. Love going there.

This is the friendliest park we have ever stayed in. It’s small and convenient to grocery store and restaurants.

Really nice 55+ RV park with lots of amenities plus nearby shopping and it's conveniently just across the street from the International airport & MCAS. In the summer the Marine Corps aircraft give us the loud "Sounds of Freedom." Not so much in the winter. There's a nice very wide Dirt area just east of Pacific Ave where you can park to watch and film the large variety of military aircraft as they fly right over your head. Some are very different from what you'd expect. There are plenty of long length pull thru sites as well as many back in sites available year round to accommodate all types and sizes of RVs. There are laundry rooms open 24/7 on both East and West sides inside the buildings that also contain restrooms and showers. The management really cares about their park and work at keeping residents happy whether here for overnight, weekly, monthly or yearly. The office and large clubhouse are next to the pool area. Pool is open 24/7 and is heated year round with a large spa next to the pool that's even warmer! Wonderful to float late at night looking at the starry sky! A big variety of activities are always happening and are printed on the monthly calendar handouts for each person that wants one. Dinners, Dances, parties, breakfasts, potlucks, games, even shuffle board right outside the clubhouse. There's a walking/jogging track right outside the park boundaries easily accessed from the park streets. Pets are welcome and I've seen the typical dogs of all sizes and cats on leashes as well as a talking parrot one year. Grandchildren on leashes (just kidding) and their parents often visit the Snowbird Grandparents that are staying here. The entrance to the park is a long driveway that is tucked in between the Nissan lot on Pacific & 32nd Street and Guardian Self Storage allowing the park itself to be away from busy 32nd Street so it's very quiet with no one just wandering thru. There's also a coded locked walk-thru gate to Walmart in the back of the park opposite the entrance by space 52 that opens to the auto section of the store allowing easy access shopping. You can load up your cart and bring it right back into the park to your home. Walmart sends someone to pick the carts up every week . That gate, as I said, plus the restroom/shower buildings are all securely locked with coded entrances. There's also the benefit of being near the Yuma County Fairgrounds where there are many events throughout the year. Lots of Snowbirds make Suni Sands their winter home either in their RVs or as renters of permanent trailers that rent for short terms or longer and some even as owners themselves of a permanent place. Many Park Model homes here as well as lots of permanent trailers with add on rooms plus carports. I now rent here in Suni Sands permanently because it's a quiet and safe place for me and the many friendly people who call it their home.

I had a good stay there and the office staff are super nice and friendly!! Great location. Park is clean and everyone is so friendly. Gate access to a bike walking trail that goes in a circle. Also Walmart access by a gate in the back. There’s also Sonic with those awesome shakes. The MCAS is right across the street so you’ll hear the roar of the F 35s landing and taking off. Will return soon 😃👍

We stayed as Thousand Trails guests. It’s right in Yuma and you’ll experience jet noise anywhere in town, but that will be experienced anywhere in town. The staff and residents were very welcoming and the pool was well maintained. A refreshing and convenient bonus was the locking gate and very short walk to the Walmart. You can even bring the shopping cart back to your site and Walmart picks it up. Thanks for a nice stay.

Friendly people, great staff! Pam was a jewel! But the manager, Daile doesn't belong in the hospitality industry. She often left early and could often heard saying unprofessional things about guest.
