Sunrise Resorts at Lake Easton
Overview
Sunrise Resorts at Lake Easton offers a forested retreat situated in the heart of the Cascade Mountains. This resort provides a serene escape for travelers looking to immerse themselves in the natural beauty of Washington State while maintaining easy access to modern comforts. The park is known for its towering evergreens and proximity to the water, creating a quiet atmosphere where visitors can relax under a dense canopy. Whether you are passing through on a cross-country trip or looking for a seasonal home base, this location provides a classic Pacific Northwest camping experience.
Location & Surroundings
Conveniently located just off Interstate 90, the park serves as a gateway to the Kittitas Valley and the surrounding alpine wilderness. Despite its proximity to the highway, the resort feels worlds away due to the thick forest buffer. It is adjacent to Lake Easton State Park, giving guests immediate access to a variety of water-based activities and miles of scenic trails. The surrounding landscape transitions from the lush, wet forests of the west to the drier pine forests of central Washington, offering a unique ecological cross-section right at your doorstep.
Amenities & Park Features
The resort is designed with recreation in mind, featuring a spacious clubhouse that serves as a hub for community activities. Families often enjoy the seasonal outdoor swimming pool and hot tub, providing a perfect way to unwind after a day of hiking. On-site facilities include mini-golf, a playground for children, and clean laundry services. The sites themselves are carved into the woods, offering a level of privacy often missing from highway-adjacent parks. Basic utilities and hookups ensure that your stay is comfortable without sacrificing the rustic charm of the woods.
Nearby Attractions & Things to Do
Outdoor enthusiasts will find no shortage of adventure nearby. The neighboring Lake Easton State Park is ideal for kayaking, paddleboarding, and fishing during the warmer months. For those who enjoy hiking, the Palouse to Cascades State Park Trail offers a flat, scenic route for biking and walking. A short drive east leads to the historic town of Roslyn, famous for its coal mining history and charming architecture. In the winter, the proximity to Snoqualmie Pass makes this a strategic spot for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing adventures.
Who This Park Is Best For
This park is particularly well-suited for active families who want a blend of organized activities and wild exploration. It is an excellent choice for RVers who value a wooded, private feel over a paved parking lot style of camping. If you are a member of the Sunrise Resorts network, this is a must-visit location, but it also appeals to any traveler seeking a mountain basecamp along the I-90 corridor. It is ideal for those who want to experience the Cascades without venturing too far from major travel routes.

Got a great camping spot. The lady was really cool. She came and got me in a spot. It had all power and water for a great deal for a holiday weekend. The place could use an update but if you’re just there to camp and enjoy the outdoors perfect place

Stayed here one night in my Campervan. The hosts Deb & Dick were absolutely sensational. They were so accommodating and warm. It has access to the lake, laundry services, showers, bathrooms, a pool, games rooms. It was a very short stay on route to Seattle but it was the perfect stop for one night. Perfect amount of facilities, amazing hosts and comfortable grounds.

They use words like “premium site” and “resort” to make you feel like you’re going somewhere nice, but then you get to a trailer park dust pit by the freeway. Got crammed into a spot across from one of the camp hosts who had a St Bernard that barked all day long inside their trailer. But when our dogs accidentally escaped our own trailer for a minute, this very same “Karen” of a camp host didn’t waste any time sending the dog nazi over to remind us of the leash rule. Won’t ever stay at any of the Sunrise Reaorts again as the two that we’ve visited have both been a huge disappointment. Don’t waste your money here!

Really awesome staff, Mikee is the nicest guy we have ever met at a camp site. We used the community fire pit and he helped us feel comfortable and even brought us some fire wood. The community fire pit is super cool. The front spots are close to the freeway but not that big of a deal. There is a gate that gives you access to the lake and a small beach that works perfect for small to medium groups. It is about a 100 yards from the gate. Overall great experience, we even added an extra night.

If you're Coast to Coast or any other club, don't stay here, maybe for an overnight, but no more. The place is practically empty and our tiny site is squeezed between two other trailers. The sewer cap was frozen from someone driving over it. Our site docs were on the door and apparently they were closed for the weekend, I've been a lot of places this is one I won't be coming back to.

Resort is a stretch of a word to describe this place. But we were accommodated very nicely. We have a 29 ft TT and we had no problems maneuvering. Our space was spacious and it served it's purpose, which was to break our trip in half as we went back home from Idaho. There is dirt everywhere, but the walk to the state park was very nice. My boys enjoyed the pool. The people are very friendly.

I love Lake Easton, they are usually kind at the park. Not always dog friendly
