Absolutely love this place! We come here to kayak and it's beautiful

Tappan Lake Park is a great place for family. It's $10 per car load (or $5 for a single person), which is super cost effective for a family of 8. We always have a nice time, the concession stand is nice and many improvements have been made over the last couple of years. They put in a new skate park beside the beach that looks really great.

Stayed in newer full hookups section 5. Mostly level concrete, had to block drivers side. Hookups and water pressure were good. New pickleball (2) and basketball courts. Unattended young children were hanging on pickleball nets and climbing the chain link fencing, so not sure how long it will last. Beach looked nice. Will definitely come again.

Quite hours are 11 to 7am, or supposed to be. I had to listen to people party till 3 am then people started letting dogs out to bark at 6am. Do not go if you want to sleep. On top of that the boats on the lake have no respect for fisherman. Pretty much a place to drink, party till daylight then get on the boat and drink and race around the lake. Definitely not what is use to be! Only reason it got 2 stars was the people around the campground were nice for the most part.

I stayed in the cabins the last two years in late April! Absolutely loved having the place to ourselves. Caught a nice sized catfish from the little dock area there too! The cabins are simple and clean. Full kitchen with some dishes if needed, showers hot and big. The furniture could definitely use an update. It is a little rough on my spine. And the internet/WiFi is super shotty sometimes. But other than that it's beautiful and peaceful. Can't ask for much more! ☺️

Smart TV was a nice addition but WiFi needs to be stronger.

I and my family have been permanent campers for 38 years until 3 years ago. Tap pan was a great place to go, but they started changing stuff and it just didn’t seem like a campground anymore. It seems like a trailer park now after they cut down all the trees. Nobody was enforcing the rules anymore, like bike riding after dark. It’s a real shame that they charge more each year but cut down on rangers. I wish everyone there to have fun, but this family won’t be coming back.

Beach is nice, usually have events for the kids like movie nights and such. A good spot a weekend or a long term camper spot.

What a perfect week! Perfect spot. Perfect weather. Perfect amenities and perfect place to visit. Clean as a whistle! Staff pleasant and a great place DURING THE WEEK to hang out. Not sure about weekends but definitely a good place to relax without anyone around week days in late August. Stayed in area 5. Sites are spaced far enough apart for privacy! Rented a fishing boat for the day. Tappan Lake is a great place to just fish or relax! Will return!

👍😃A phenomenal place to eat! Staff is very friendly, food and portions are spectacular, prices are better than fair especially for the portion sizes. Only problem I have found is the hours they are open, not long enough, as we live about an hour away.
