Good location, just a few minutes from Traverse City. Real stickers about check in time. We wanted to check in an hour early, but they said no, but for a fee, we could. Then, when we arrived, we were asked to go to our site and check in later because they were too busy. The sites are big enough, our fire pit was about 8 feet from site edge, so not roomy. The sites are dirt, with gravel drives. Kept the vacuum busy. We had a little rain, so as expected, it stuck to your shoes. Lots to do for the kids. 2nd year for us to enjoy the Halloween celebration. A number of craft activities and an Excellent Haunted House! Trick or treating thru the park. Bike trails RC car park Walking Close to trails Cornhole. 2 main bath houses serve the park, You must PAY to shower. Good security Feel safe for the kids to go to playground. We will return.

Stayed here for a long weekend with family. Overall the park itself is beautiful and well maintained, I enjoyed all the art installations through out. As a young couple, no kids and a dog we typically stay at state parks. We picked this park for our nieces (they loved it) with all the actives provided, but was also looking forward to more of a luxury experience for the adults too! However, part of my luxury experience is a hot shower after a long day. You have to pay for hot water in the bathhouse (which is fine), but it only ever gets luke-warm. Katie at the front desk was super kind and helpful with my concerns, and did offer the suggestion to run the sink first, which did help, but wasn’t HOT! Also, pretty annoying that you always get the answering machine when you call the park (even during hours of operation.) Having access to washer/dryer and the campground store was super convenient! It was hard to plan ahead with what to expect for the Halloween weekend, as the schedule didn’t come out till the week before, and things were missing off the schedule. The adult Haunted House was better than expected! Overall, very cool park, Katie was helpful, but for the price per night things could be more organized as a whole to truly be considered luxury!

The best campground around! We had a few concerns during our stay that were promptly addressed. My kids love the amenities although wish they had more activities during the week! We are return cabin campers and will continue to be 🥰 thanks for having a great place for continuing memories

I've been to a lot of different campgrounds here in Michigan. By far this was the cleanest, most friendly staff, and the amount of amenities they had for the kids to do through out the week was beyond my expectation. Mari at the front desk was super kind and went way past what most would do to assist us with anything we needed. Ella was great also with helping us out with a small communication error also. I would 100% come back and stay here and recommend anyone else looking to do so also!!

We love this campground. It seems like every time we go, something new has been added. There is a lot for kids to do, and they always have extra activities to participate in for many age groups. The RC track and bike park are very cool. The lake with the trampoline and slide is awesome! I wish I had a campground like this as a kid. We no longer have a camper, so we utilized one of their mini homes, and it was everything we needed and more for comfort. Already looking forward to the next trip.

Very nice, there for a 100K. The race was poorly organized but the location was beautiful.

free camping weekend 56.00 a night (more than I've ever paid at a campground) and that was without the pool in operation. then they say you get a free voucher if you rake your site which I never received last year and was told im out of luck. they charge for showers and took all my quarters and the water never got warm. they charge for visitors. this place has gotten ridiculous. Doubt I will return

Nice park, but the staff is a bummer. They are often obviously bitter while working around the park. Just a grumpy maintenance crew in a place that's supposed to be fun; kinda kills the vibe. Roadways can get very icy in the winter. We stayed for a long term winter rental, and they refused to give our security deposit back because "the refrigerator and microwave were dirty and gross" they weren't, I deep cleaned the whole cabin before we left. There might have been a few debris in the fridge. Not to mention I cleaned a bunch of surface mold off the wall behind the couch, and on the window sills and such, which we mentioned to them, but they still refused to give our security deposit back. The heating/cooling is electric mini-splits installed near the ceiling. The loft was always extremely hot, and the living room and floor was very cold. It was very difficult to regulate. Slippers are most definitely preferred for a winter stay, and they did warn us of this. The heat was very expensive to run, over $200/month. The propane for the stove went out for 2 weeks or so, thankfully we had my instantpot so we could still cook. They are dog friendly as long as you clean up after your pet, and have lots of space to walk the dogs. Gorgeous property. Lots of amenities, great for kids, if you don't mind the staff.

Great campground, nice staff, lots of fun things to do, especially for children. If you're looking for a quiet, romantic camping spot, this probably isn't it; but if you want somewhere fun to bring kids, this is the place. Staff are great, camp store has everything you need, and the campsites are well laid out. The swimming lake is awesome.

Overall a nice park, just a bit too busy for my liking. Seems generally well run, but more could be done to ensure the experience is positive for all. Probably just our bad luck that all 5 days we were there the campers directly across had two aggressive dogs on very long leads that barked and charged at passers-by all day long completely unchecked by their owners. I get that rude, inconsiderate people can be encountered anywhere, but it would have been nice if the park staff would have intervened at any point, but seemingly that never happened. Quiet hours also were not well respected and again I saw no response from staff. We have stayed at parks where the rules are enforced too rigidly but this one is a bit lax, a tough balance to hit admittedly but in this case it affected the quality of our stay. Not a bad park by any means but I probably would not return.
