It was a fine place to stop on the way to somewhere. But not really a destination in itself. It advertised as having multiple playgrounds which I did not find. We have kids and we’re looking g forward to camping near one of the playgrounds so the kids could play with others. Unfortunately the only one we found was a swing set and no other kids. We had fun away of course. The river is fun and the shade is very nice. The campsites seem to be well maintained.

This is a beautiful park in a heavily wooded area. Sites are clean and spacious. Most sites have a concrete pad, graveled patio with picnic table, grill and fire ring. Many sites are right along the river. There is a boat ramp for river access. There is also a small lake with a paved path surrounding it. Also there is a paved bike path which meanders through the woods. It is short but beautiful. Playground for the kiddos.

We come here all the time. Beautiful area. First time for Halloween 🎃 I will say this is must for people with small children. Great job to all the park host.

This park is absolutely beautiful! Our spot overlooked the river and had lots of privacy. If you want quiet serenity, this is the place you need to go. Some of the sites had full hookups, but ours only had electric and water, but they also have a dump station, laundry, bath houses, a boat ramp, lots of hiking, and beautiful scenery! We will definitely be back!

Site #39 has street lights all around it which keeps everything lit up at night. Ugh. This park needs some work. The tables are old and broken. But good for a quick stop over.

Normally I’d give COE Campgrounds a 5 start because they are usually very well maintained. Not the case here. It’s a beautiful campground but sadly really run down Grass needed mowing bad. The Piers and everything else made from wood are really old and rotten. The view from the piers was beautiful. The whole park needs a lot of work. We went to 2 in the same area and both in the same condition. The sites were nice and level. They wouldn’t let us ride through and pick a site because of “COVID” you have to do it online. Bath houses and restrooms were clean But they need updating as well. Bike trails were nice concrete trails through the woods. Park host were really nice.

The place deserves 5 star however the website (recreation.gov) is not much helpful, and the lack of pictures and information leave us without better choices of the suitable spots to pick for camping. Me and my husband were planning on staying for 2 nights, but when we got there we were surprised by the amount of kids and RVs around our spot, and we ended up staying one night only. It is a wonderful place for kids and for fishing in the river too. The structure and safety is good also for elderly people. If you are planning to have some adventure time in the woods, long distance hiking and quiet places you might try another place to go or a different season other than the summer.
