Beautiful place! From pavilion rentals for family events to boat rental and go fishing, Trap Pond State Park is a great place on the eastern shore. There's all types of trails, volley ball courts, soccer courts, horse shoes, corn hole, play ground with slides and swings, big jungle gym, clean bathrooms and much more. Wonderful place to bring the family and go for a walk, or plan a family reunion amd bring both sides of the family! Not only will we be back but we just left!

This campground is probably my favorite so far. There is so much to do between the swamp kayaking. Boat tours, nature center, gigantic activity areas, gravel trails, and playground. The sites are spacious, clean, and level (i stayed in loop A site 18). I plan to come back with my kids next time and may even consider an annual pass. The bathouses were also very clean!

Very nice campground, awesome mountain bike trails, very beautiful place to kayak and to enjoy the scenic views and nature.

We try camping here once a year. Always quiet and enjoy our stay. Lots of nice trails. Biking, fishing and boating. Take a tour or do it yourself. Areas are shaded, clean with room to spread out from your neighbors and the bathhouse are nice. We have never had a bad stay here.

Trap Pond is a hidden gem! We went kayaking and were blown away by the beauty of the bald cypress trees — it’s like paddling through a swampy fairytale. The water was calm, the wildlife was everywhere (we saw turtles, herons, and dragonflies), and the whole experience felt peaceful and magical. The park is well-maintained with easy access to the launch, and there’s plenty of shade along the way. Whether you’re looking for a relaxing paddle, a picnic, or a nature walk, Trap Pond delivers. We’ll definitely be back!

Amazing experience - We are vacationing in Bethany Beach and we brought our own kayaks. We took a drive of about 40 mins to Trap Pond. As an out of state visitor we paid $8 to get in the park. But OMG it was a beautiful paddle through cypress trees. We also saw turtles, many birds including an Eagle. It was really a fantastic experience.

This place is beautiful and the campground is really nice and shaded. It is almost like it’s own southern state? I was not expecting Delaware to have cypress trees, swamp, magnolias, and such. It was like going to the south without the crowd. Still very hot and humid though. Not my cup of tea but that can’t be helped lol. The pond smells at some points (also can’t be helped) but there is so much to do in this decent sized park. It’s also not a far drive from Assateague Island National Lakeshore!

This is a beautiful park, but if you are camping and looking for peace and quiet, this isn't your place. Camping area close to a road, cars drive by frequently. Camp sites are close to each other, kids, dogs barking, loud campers. If this is what you want, this is the place for you. I wanted solitude, didn't get it. Bathhouses are very clean. Wood is sold for $5 for about 6-8 pieces. Nice little camping store with all kinds of things you might need.

Love this place! Grew up going here, it has changed so much over the years but my experiences are always great. There are all kinds of sites to choose from. We tried the E loop for the first time and it has been our favorite so far. They are large walk in sites. We had a 10 person tent and a canopy with 2 hammocks. Could have easily fit 2 more tents on site and it still be comfortable. The bathrooms are clean and the showers warm. The bikes they offer are fun, we loved going on the bob trail!

We will be leaving tomorrow after a 5 day stay. This is a beautiful, shady campground. So restful & peaceful. Extra clean bathhouse which looks like it was been remodeled recently. Water, electric, picnic table & metal fire ring and dump away from campsites. Some sites are very narrow, but majority are good size. We stayed A3 which fits a 28 ft. Travel trailer and also room for a 2500 RAM truck. We are right next to the walk railing to the bath house which is very close to us. Love the trails (walking/bike/horse), and nice big playground. Trails lead to boat launch, picnic areas and Trap Pond State Park, lake full of kayakers, canoes, boats. Weekends offer Pontoon tour around the lake for a nominal fee. Noisy crowds come in for weekends, but it seems they are families/relatives having fun. Laurel, Delaware and Salisbury, MD nearby with an abundance of restaurants and shopping. Visit The Country House in Salisbury if you like country items. Countryside of large farms and vegetable/fruit stands. If ever in the area we will be back.
