Tree Farm Campground

Overview

Tree Farm Campground offers a classic New England camping experience tucked away in the lush landscapes of the Green Mountains. Situated on a historic former tree farm, the park emphasizes a deep connection with nature and the forest. It provides a peaceful retreat from the hustle of highway travel while maintaining modern standards of comfort. Travelers will find spacious, wooded sites that offer a high degree of privacy, creating a serene environment that feels nestled deep in the Vermont wilderness.

Location & Surroundings

Located in the heart of the scenic Connecticut River Valley, the campground sits just a few miles outside the town of Springfield, Vermont. The landscape is characterized by towering pines and mature maples, providing refreshing shade during the warm summer months. The surrounding region is defined by rolling hills, winding rivers, and quintessential small-town charm. The park's layout carefully respects the natural topography, ensuring that the quiet woodland atmosphere remains the central focus of every stay.

Amenities & Park Features

Despite its rustic and traditional appearance, the park features a variety of modern conveniences for the contemporary RVer. Most sites are equipped with reliable full hookups and offer enough clearance for larger rigs to maneuver comfortably. On-site facilities include:

  • Clean bathhouses and modern laundry facilities for guest convenience.
  • A well-stocked camp store with local firewood and ice.
  • Access to high-speed Wi-Fi that reaches most areas of the park.

The well-maintained trails winding through the property are perfect for morning walks with your pet or a light, meditative hike under the canopy.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

Beyond the campground gates, the town of Springfield offers fascinating historical sites like the historic Eureka Schoolhouse and the Hartness House. Outdoor enthusiasts will appreciate the proximity to the Black River for fishing or the various local trail systems for hiking. A short drive takes you to the charming village of Ludlow or the stunning scenic vistas found at Okemo Mountain Resort. The area is also famous for its local artisan dairies and craft breweries, perfect for a day trip exploration of Vermont culture.

Who This Park Is Best For

This park is ideal for travelers who prioritize peaceful tranquility and nature over high-energy resort activities like pools or arcades. It is a perfect fit for couples seeking a quiet getaway or families who want to experience the simplicity of old-fashioned camping. Because of the meticulously level sites, it is also an excellent choice for big-rig owners who often find wooded parks difficult to navigate. If you value privacy, tree-lined views, and a quiet night under the stars, this is your destination.

We had a wonderful experience at the Tree Farm Campground. The owners were very welcoming, showers were hot and the campground was overall very quiet and relaxing. There were hiking trails nearby and it is only a short drive to the mountains.

We felt so welcomed at Tree Farm, even though we never saw our hosts! We arrived after dark, but all our check-in details were right where they said they would be - with a personal note! Our site was right by the rec room/bath house, a cute rustic-themed building that was open all day and night. The campgrounds were beautiful - towering pine trees - and everything was well marked and easy to find.

This campground is a gem! Tucked away in the tall pines of eastern Vermont. The owners Elizabeth and her husband keep the grounds well maintained. All the hookups worked as they should. The best part was the spacing between campsites. My wife and I will definitely be back!

We loved Tree Farm Campground!! My wife and I may not be your typical camper. We are not looking for pools and crazy camping experiences. We seek quiet sites that offer some privacy, yet have full hook up. The staff is amazing and friendly. They are easy to communicate with and prompt. Our site (67) was large and quiet even being on one of the main loops. The large metal ring fire pit had an adjustable grill. I would recommend to any camper seeking a quiet getaway. There are a few trails/ state parks near by (even a waterfall). We took a 20-30 minute drive to Harpoon brewery for a beer and some lunch.

We spent the last two weeks there and loved our stay. The owners are the nicest people and give great suggestions of places to visit in the area. The campground is clean and quiet with large sites. Trees between sites allow for some privacy too. There's a lot of land with tons of trails to walk. Definitely recommend a stay at Tree Farm Campground! We'll be back next season 😊

We had the most amazing time during Columbus Day weekend! Ben and Liz were awesome hosts and made us feel like home. The sites were big enough and lots of trees around for privacy. We can’t wait to come back and share this campground with friends and family!

We had a very nice time here, the Owner's were very nice. Loved the wooded sites and the smallness of the campground. My only negative was the site we were given was very tight getting into and had to navigate an S Curve and then almost a full tight circle to get into our site. Just barely squeaked around the corner with my 28' TT. When I got home I found that I clipped a tree on my blindside getting out :(. Site 29 should be for smaller rigs? Will ask to pick a better site next time :).

Wife and I stayed here for the weekend. It's a very nice, quiet, small rustic campground. It's not flashy but it's got lots of charm and has a nice woodsy feel. The owners were very friendly. The sourounding area is nice. Many things to do and see within a 30 min drive or less.. We had a very enjoyable weekend all around.

We stayed here 8/13-8/15. We used it as a place to stay while visiting our son. Beautiful campground! We loved all the trees and the state park feel. Bathrooms were clean and nice. Would definitely come back when we visit our son. The owners are very nice. I also loved all the flowers.
