Tropical Waters RV Resort

Overview

Tropical Waters RV Resort offers a tranquil getaway on the northern tip of Pine Island, Florida. This resort is designed for travelers seeking a slower pace of life amidst swaying palms and coastal breezes. Unlike high-traffic tourist hubs, this destination focuses on providing a peaceful community atmosphere where neighbors quickly become friends. The park is well-maintained, offering a clean and organized environment for both short-term visitors and seasonal residents looking for a tropical home base.

Location & Surroundings

Situated in the charming community of Bokeelia, the resort is surrounded by the natural beauty of one of Florida’s largest islands. Pine Island is famous for its unique geography and old-Florida character, characterized by lush agricultural landscapes rather than traditional sandy beaches. Guests will find themselves near expansive fruit groves and pristine mangroves. The resort provides easy access to the Pine Island Sound, making it a prime location for those who want to explore the aquatic side of the Gulf Coast.

The park features well-spaced sites equipped with full hookups and sturdy concrete pads to accommodate various rig sizes. Residents can take a dip in the heated swimming pool or gather at the clubhouse for community events. Key features include:

  • Spacious sites with 30 and 50 amp service.
  • Social recreation areas including shuffleboard courts.
  • Convenient on-site laundry facilities and clean bathhouses.

These amenities ensure that every member of the family feels welcome and comfortable during their stay.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

Anglers will appreciate the proximity to world-class fishing spots and local boat ramps available in the Bokeelia area. Just a short drive away is the colorful village of Matlacha, known for its vibrant art galleries and waterfront dining. Nature lovers can explore the Randell Research Center or kayak through the Great Calusa Blueway. Boat tours frequently depart from nearby marinas to explore the outer islands like Cayo Costa, offering a chance to see dolphins and local birdlife in their natural habitat.

Who This Park Is Best For

This resort is ideal for active retirees and winter residents who appreciate a quiet, social environment. It is the perfect fit for RVers who prefer boat-centric activities and nature over crowded boardwalks or theme parks. The park welcomes those who enjoy a community-driven experience where neighbors bond over shared interests. I’ve been living here in this park for 3 years and have had 2 price increases. Every year I have problems with electricity and I keep getting told that I’m using more than 50 amps but the problem is the power poles between me and my neighbors. The hurricanes and the salty water fried the cables. We had a power surge today that ruined my new air conditioner. No air or electricity is unacceptable! I will be contacting an attorney! Please don’t rent or stay here.

I highly recommend this park for a few key reasons: Location - it is in paradise and it is off the beaten path Management - they make you feel safe and are interactive with the park. Debbie, Julie and Catherine are super and will help you when you need it. They also make sure things are running as they should. Clientele - the people in this park are amazing. Many are very friendly, nice and good people. I found many people who would listen, talk and help me with some things I was dealing with. I made some lifelong friends here and I do want to stay here again in the future. Great job all :)

I would love to leave a good review, but I see that Tina is no longer in charge! When she was everything seem to be great! Handled with such professional knowledge and she and the staff members were pleasant with everyone, including myself! Except for the maintenance guy, he is not a friendly person, and seems like he just drives around looking like he is doing something. But to let you all know, it seems to be a mistake that the owners would even consider to let such a good person and good management of the park, go!! Tina shouldn't have been fired! Shame on the Owners!!!

I'm a snowboard who purchased a park model 4 years ago.My idea was to remodel completely which I did spend 6-7 months then sell and purchase a home or condo here on the island. Well I am still here because I realized this is allI really need. There are many places for sale manly because of seniors who have health issues and not because of issues with the park or management. Tina and her staff have done a great job cleaning up the park give them time. Almost everyone purchasing places here have remodeled and made there places look great in the last year or so. Yes this is an older park but I can see the pride most people are taking. Make no mistake there are people who need to cleanup there places I am confident management is looking at this. They can only do so much. I have met some of the nicest people snowbirds like me and year around residents an not one issue with anyone. Come here and enjoy the Island and what the real meaning of Island time is. We can all make this a great place to visit or live year around.

I don't usually leave reviews but like many, we rely on these reviews when planning a trip! This was not our type of camping. Our site was wedged between 2 unkept seasonal trailers. PROS... nice heated pool. Very friendly people. CONS... Jacuzzi was cold, concrete pad was broken and hazardous, no picnic tables or firepits, boat launch was over grown and not really passible, website says it has free wifi, not true, more of a trailer park than an rv resort. All for $80/ night. We left early!

I would not recommend. This place is poorly ran. The Manager gal is very unprofessional. Sits on her phone with personal calls as you stand at the desk waiting for assistance. She has her young kids running the front office and the park. Her boyfriend and her daughters boyfriend run the maintenance there. They leave rude notes making threats about driving fast, when in fact they are the problem. You can never get in touch with Tina because she screens the calls. If you have a disagreement prepare to be put through the ringer. There is no way to contact the owner with your complaints. We pay the money to live by her rules. What she says goes. It's now an all age park. Or at least if she wants someone younger she allows it. Her daughter lives there with her young boyfriend. If not she lies and says it's a 55+ park. Everyone is selling because of her. Look for yourself and see how many are selling. Beware if considering here. You won't be able to sell when you want out. She will try to run off every potential buyer. Do not pay the application fee. They do not really do a background check. We know that for a fact. There are two people with felonies living there now. And the "new mangement" is not that new. So the reviews stating poor management is about this dynamic duo and all their kids that run around.
