We enjoy our time here. The bathrooms and showers are very clean, as is the pool. We kayak on the Merrymeeting River and the dogs love running on the beach. We don't have small children but note there are no amenities for them except the pool. Many kids ride bikes and fish. We have fires, nobody bothers us and we've never had anything stolen. You'll want a shaded spot, otherwise you'll bake in the sun. Enjoy☆

This is an excellent place for RVers to stay. Beautiful area, quiet park and very clean. Most people who stay here come for the whole summer- every summer. So they have beautiful decks and outdoor tents. They take pride in their homes. The owner Bob opened up the park a week early to accommodate my husband and I because I am a travel nurse. We needed to be here early for my job. They have a Facebook page to communicate with everyone who is staying there. People are so friendly. Alton is a great little town and close to Mount Major and just a little ways from Rochester, Concord, Laconia, Lake Winnipesaukee, and the White Mountains. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay here again.

Bobcat Bob, Young Bob and Fred were all great to us as seasonal campers. (Shout out to the nice girl in front who's name I never got) The sites vary greatly in size but the views and fishing are amazing. Close to many hikes, fishing spots and of course Lake Winnipesaukee. You can kayak or canoe to the lake with a little sweat power! Great for pet owners (leashed!) and accommodating for larger rigs (40' class A). Clean sites, don't count on the wifi for anything but wave as most people were super friendly. Thanks for a great summer!

This RV park is exactly what we were looking for. It is the first if not the only of it's kind in the state. There are Resorts that offer many amenities and activities which are great for vacationers, there are campgrounds all over the state and many are fabulous. The issue for us was that we are recently retired and are "snowbirds". Turtle Kraal is perfect for those who want a "neighborhood atmosphere" and want to live in NH for several months. Bob , Becky and staff couldn't be friendlier or more helpful. The pictures on the website describe the rest. This park was a life saver for us, we are lifelong residents of NH and this was the perfect solution to live in this beautiful state and get our NH Fix! Little "slice of heaven" this state is!

We have been coming to Turtle Kraal since they opened and decided to go seasonal 4 years ago. We absolutely love it here! We have meet some wonderful people, have great neighbors and the owners and staff are always willing to help and look out for everyone in the park. It's a great place to relax and get away from it all but yet convenient.

Not a campground for ppl who don't want to be on top of other campers and for ppl who want to be secluded. With that being said I came during bike week and it was great. They have a nice in ground pool, clean big bathrooms and showers as well as access to a major river.
