Wanna Bee Campground & RV Resort
Overview
Wanna Bee Campground & RV Resort offers a classic camping experience in the heart of Wisconsin's premier vacation destination. Unlike the high-energy resorts found on the main strip, this park provides a tranquil, wooded atmosphere where families can reconnect with nature. It is a place where towering trees provide shade for every site, creating a sense of privacy that is often hard to find in such a popular tourist hub. The management focuses on maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, ensuring that every guest feels like part of the community from the moment they check in.
Location & Surroundings
Situated just a few miles from the bustling center of Wisconsin Dells, the park enjoys a prime location that balances convenience with serenity. The surrounding landscape is characterized by the iconic sandstone formations and lush forests that make this region famous. Travelers will appreciate the easy access to major roads while enjoying the fact that the nightly campfire sounds replace the noise of traffic. It serves as a perfect jumping-off point for exploring the natural beauty of the Wisconsin River valley while remaining close to modern conveniences.
Amenities & Park Features
The resort is well-equipped to handle the needs of modern RVers with a variety of thoughtful facilities. Guests have access to full hookup sites featuring water, sewer, and electricity that accommodate various rig sizes. On-site facilities include a heated outdoor swimming pool, which serves as a central gathering spot during the warm summer months. Children can burn off energy at the playground or in the game room, while active travelers can make use of the basketball and volleyball courts. The park also features essential comforts like clean restrooms, hot showers, and laundry facilities.
Nearby Attractions & Things to Do
Staying here puts you minutes away from the Waterpark Capital of the World, home to massive indoor and outdoor parks like Noah’s Ark and Mt. Olympus. Beyond the slides, visitors can enjoy the scenic Wisconsin River via Original Wisconsin Ducks tours or explore the hiking trails at Mirror Lake State Park. For those who enjoy shopping and dining, the historic downtown Dells area offers a variety of local boutiques, fudge shops, and themed restaurants that provide entertainment for all ages throughout the camping season.
Who This Park Is Best For
This park is an ideal choice for families and couples who want the Wisconsin Dells experience without the constant noise of the central attractions. It is perfect for those who prioritize a peaceful wooded setting and value a traditional camping vibe over a commercialized resort feel. Big-rig owners and weekend warriors alike will find the sites accommodating, making it a top pick for anyone seeking a relaxing home base while they explore the diverse waterparks and natural wonders of the region.

It was a good stop for over night. I could see this would be great for a family they had a bar, pool, loads if games, miniature gold and rides for the kids.

I went here for a weekend in the "couples cabin" , it's so tiny 2 of us had no space. The "bathroom " is literally just a toilet in a tiny closet like space. The campsites are very close together you get no privacy. The pool was freezing, we couldn't even enjoy it. The wood they gave us was wet. The bed was very uncomfortable. The location was OK with it being literally 5 minutes for the downtown area.

The people who run the campground are great! They drove by regularly and were very pleasant. They do a very good job with the "extras"; game room, store, bar, pool, playground, train ride, etc. my only complaint, and unfortunately it is a pretty big one, is the restroom situation.... I will preface this with the fact that it was a very busy holiday weekend, and they were in the middle of some bathhouse renovations. However, the current state of the bathrooms was absolutely filthy, and beyond the permanent bathhouse the "port-o-potty" condition was just as bad. I think if they had 1 extra "port-o-potty", and more importantly had them pumped and maintained more often I wouldn't have much to complain about. My family still had a very good time, and like I said, the hospitality of the staff was pretty great!

We stayed at this campground for our vacation this year. We stayed for 10 days and everyday this place was accommodating and enjoyable. We had such an amazing experience here. Our kids absolutely loved playing on all the things offered at this location from swimming in the pool, playing in the arcade, mini golf, and riding around on the bikes. They loved being pulled around in the train tractor. Tony and Beth deserve an extra shout out. They made this stay unique and so much more interactive and fun for not only adults but the kids loved seeing them as well. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone coming to the Dells. Thanks for making our whole stay that much more enjoyable!

This was our first time staying in a cabin in Wanna Bee Campground and we couldn't believe it was so dirty. The floor was just filthy, my kids are used to being in our house without shoes so they immediately took their shoes off. Their feet were black right away. The refrigerator was dirty and the bathroom even worse. It had old urine stains in the seat, in the backrest and on the floor. The sink in the bathroom had stains too. We also found mouse dropping under the sink so we stayed away from the drawers and cabinets, we didn't feel like cleaning every single thing. We immediately went to buy cleaning supplies. Once we cleaned we were able to enjoy our stay but it was so disappointing to find the cabin so dirty since we made reservations a couple days before. I understand the cabins are old and it's ok but cleanliness is so important.
