I was not impressed, probably won't go back. Campsites were very poorly marked, sewer pipes were uncovered and roads we extremely narrow and dangerous for large rigs.

Staff incredible. Activities really fun. Weekend sites are small and tight so plan accordingly. Neighbors friendly. People that are probably seasonal drive way too fast around the campground. Especially with all the small children.

I am a woman on sabbatical, who stayed alone in a cabin and felt safer here than any 5 star hotel room I've stayed in (even w my husband). Everything is super clean, it's quiet, and the staff is wonderful. Jaden made me an awesome cheese steak, and Donna is a kindred spirit. I feel like I've known her my entire life. It was more economical to stay here for 2 nights as opposed to a hotel, and yet, the cabin at Whippoorwill was worth its weight in gold. I'm def returning. 10/10, def recommend.

Had the pleasure of spending my very night in a camper van I just purchased. It was perfect and I thank the staff and park because last night could not of been more peaceful and relaxing here inside the park.. Bejng able to plug in really maximized all the amenities I have on in the Van m… Very greatful and look forward to returning down the road. Thank you

I have been coming to this campground for nearly 18 years with my children and to me and my children, it is like heaven on earth and I love everything about it! It’s very charming and peaceful place to spend time with your children. It has always been family oriented, safe, friendly and fun place to spend quality time. I am a little sad about the trees and shrubs being removed and laundry room being changed because I have so many great memories of the place the way it’s always been. The changes being made have been exceptional! The bathroom floors are luxurious, the cabins are so amazing and wow! The pool is always just heavenly! I appreciate all the changes and improvements being made and the hard work and efforts of the awesome staff I have come into contact with. The people are great and it is always a wonderful time. One time in 18 years I had an issue with my cabin not being cleaned so great. They went out of their way to accommodate me and corrected things very quickly! Great customer service! I have nothing but wonderful memories to cherish! Thanks Whipporwhil!!! 🏕️

Even though we paid for WiFi , it was bad! The restaurant next to the pool was never opened. Even though we like the pool and its size but it needed upkeep and cleanliness ,we also didn’t appreciate all the sand around our trailer, made it very difficult to keep clean even with both mats on the ground. I love buying magnets of the different campgrounds we stay at ,but the store didn’t have any. I guess the worst part of our area was the mosquitoes, they were so bad , day or night with fire going, it just didn’t matter. The lot was easy to get in, the size was large. Love the location, so many beaches nearby, enjoyed the boardwalk, and zoo.

Awesome campground. Friendly staff, quiet, nice place to stay. Great location, about 11 min to Avalon Beach. RV site 32A was very easy to back in, separation from the neighbors to some extent, level, good water pressure, and nice trees. Everyone at this campground is very nice. I will be coming back.

Major Decline in Campground Quality Since the management change, this campground's quality has plummeted. We have been seasonal here for 5 years and used to love the family-run atmosphere, but now it's a disappointment. The baby pool has been out of service for two seasons despite numerous promised renovation dates, and the playground was removed with constant delays on promised work. The bathrooms are always musty, the laundry room has broken equipment, and speed bumps are often scattered all over the road. It seems there's no pride in the campground like before. Extremely disappointing for the price we paid and our valuable vacation time.

We stayed here for 34 days with our family of five. We had heard great things about Whippoorwill and were looking forward to our extended stay. What we later found out was that all those good stories came before some corporate took over. The sites are very nice and good sizes and everything is within a short walk. They had some nice activities for the kids but that's about all the good I can say. We 1st started noticing issues after memorial day weekend when it took over 4 days and us calling the office for the bathrooms to be "cleaned". Was told by the office that a work order was in but they didn't know when it would get done. We even went as far as calling the regional district manager but surprisingly we never not a call back. The bathrooms were wiped down at best but cleaned was not what I would call it. After that we would bring our own cleaning products to wipe the showers down before we used them. Just want we wanted to do after dropping thousands of dollars for our reservation. 2 showers in the woman's room were duct taped closed and out of order for at least a week including the handicap shower. My husband said the men's room was even worse. Trash left on bathroom floors for 3-4 days if not more and stalls without toilet paper for at least 3 days that I'm aware of as well. The other bathhouse with the laundry room was often locked when you tried to use it. Washers and dryers are owned by outside company and when our clothes got locked in the washer the office couldn't do anything had to call a 800 number. Ended up googling the error code and fixing ourselves when we didn't get an answer. Definitely will not be returning or recommending to family and friends. We did meet some wonderful people during our stay but can't give them credit for that!
