Such an interesting spot, in the middle of KS! We camped at the lake and our site was right on a cliff over the water! Campground was great and the hikes at the lake were interesting and fun. As a photographer, there were plenty of spots for great sunset and sunrise photos, as well as rock formations on one of our hikes. It was the perfect first experience of this beautiful lake!

We visited and camped on a beautiful late summer day. The campground is well maintained with many choices depending on what you like. The lake water is fairly clear and inviting. Trees are scatter about with a variety of interesting grasses and vegatation. Nice big grand views.

Fantastic campground. Beautiful country. Easy trailer parking. Only negative this is the tiny little porcupine burrs. Kinda rough for the long hair dogs. And very sharp.

Great stop when passing through Kansas , several campgrounds , most require a little walk to the bathhouse . Clean lake , lots of access . Switchgrass mountain bike trails are within the park and super nice . The lovegrass bluegrass festival was about to kick off as well . Water and electric hookup at the sites , dump station station is fairly convenient .

Fantastic place to camp and have lake days! Campsites are clean and well maintained, include flushing toilets and showers that are also clean (for camping). The marina store has the essentials if you forget something, and you can rent boats, jet skis, etc

Even though I couldn't camp in my tent because of the high winds and storms, I absolutely loved this state park and campsite and plan to come all the way back from South Carolina some day. I stayed in the Foxtail campgrounds where some cabins are located and there's fantastic views of lake Wilson and the empty plains beyond. Quite a beautiful drive to get there as well. 5 stars!

Long time framily favorite, Wilson Lake. So many good times... so many cherished memories. Weary i70 travelers need to know there's a place to reconnect with Mother Nature a few short miles North of the seeming endless plains highway.

Is this the best kept secret of Kansas? I am not sure, but it's definitely a beautiful location. My visit took place towards the end of September, so it's not really camping season. There was a plethora of empty sites, so finding a place the day was not an issue. I could only imagine how busy it could be during the heat of summer, families swimming on one of the 2 swimming beaches. Family get together at the many group sites. There are 25 miles of bicycle and hiking trails that would could enjoy. Maybe sitting on the provided picnic table, bird watching, keeping an eye out, and documening over a hundred different birds that call this beautiful place their home. The sites were very clean and maintained. The restrooms were above average condition, mostly riddled with bugs. Shower houses were in great condition and clean.
