Was expecting an RV resort, not a mobile home park with camp sites. Call them first, the website says sewer hookup, but our had none. But since they close at 3pm, there was nobody to talk to all weekend. Not always a deal breaker, but a phone call on the next business day would have been nice.

Just don’t make reservations. They will take your money be nice and send you on your way. I lost hundreds of dollars. I wanted to move the reservation 27 days in advance. Nope what a waste

This is an excellent place to stay. The staff especially Jerilyn Martin (Administrative Assistant) are very friendly and helpful. Very clean and organized. Very reasonable too!

Wonderful place to stay if you’re just looking for a few months in the winter to get out of the cold. But year round is probably the best option!

We arrived Saturday June 1 at 1:30. To find a locked office. We checked the hall to see if a packet was left fo us, as our site was 218 subject to change. Nothing was left. We had to find the site. Went ahead and set up , it would have been nice to have a site nap, passwords etc.. Been traveling our great country for 8 years and this was a first for us.I believe camping etiquette also applies to management

RV parked in the Island Camping area next to Frog Creek. Lovely place. We had to run our electric under the camper though to the post by the neighbor. It would have been bad if my supply wire did not reach because there was only a 30A connection available ( no 15 or 20A). If I had to use an extension, I would not have the right adapter.

We stayed at Winterset for a week in January. Our only problem was the week went by too fast. All the people we met were remarkably friendly, starting with Jerilyn at the front desk. A great variety of well-attended fun activities. Two food trucks visited and our meals were absolutely delicious. Winterset's location is outstanding with some of the best beaches nearby. Fort De Soto, Anna Maria Island, Siesta Key, St Pete, Sarasota, Bradenton, Tampa.......Palmetto is right in the middle of it all.

The best kept secret on the Gulf coast. Clean, quiet, well maintained, amazing staff, friendly residents and guests. The location is central to St Pete, Tampa, Sarasota, and the amazing beaches of Ana Maria Island.

Good park, lots to do. Not a great location, not much around there, few restaurants, little shopping near by.
