I would read the bad reviews before you book here. We were extremely uncomfortable the first day we stayed. You have to drive 1mph through the park otherwise a woman will stand on her deck by the office and yell at you, and the man running the office will be passive aggressive and rude if they think you are driving over 5mph. We were so put off by the rudeness we left a day early. To clarify to the response the woman left; we were driving 3mph through the park, and are very respectful of children, as we have children. The cloud of dust is a natural thing on a dirt road after a week of 90 degree weather and no rain. If you are going to yell at your guest about the speed you should have an electric speed sign, otherwise you are assuming guests are speeding and being rude for no reason even though they are adhering to park rules. You are not in the vehicle to see speedometers.

Staff was very friendly! They offered to back our trailer in & also they probably would have offered to back in the camper too. That to me was awesome! Especially if you were new to camping. They gave us an entire other site to park our truck and trailer. Id give 10 stars just off that experience. Location is great! Like 10 minutes from Walmart. We did not utilize the pool but it was nice to have the option if we wanted too. Camp sites were clean. Starting this off- we are campers all over Michigan. Only complaints- Showers were hairy/soap all over. (Not campgrounds fault) maybe more cleanings on weekends but other than that, it was great. It is well water- but filtered. Next, people stare lol! Other campers, everything you do they're hawking you down. It was odd. At times, the vibe was odd, like if you weren't from here, campers weren't very welcoming. As soon as I pulled up, our neighbor walked up and was like what site are you? It was a weird experience. Maybe it was just the people there now. Will be back!

I stayed in the (rustic) 2 person cabin with a micro/fridge/air/fan. The lots are spacious with a wonderful canopy of mixed pine and native trees. The pool is clean, bathrooms are clean (a little tight in the shower). It was quiet although my stay was not a weekend. 2 min. travel to Houghton Lake.

Beautiful, clean, quiet camp ground with large spacious camp sites! Owners, John and Jenny, are wonderful, friendly, welcoming, hardworking, attentive host! Clean restrooms and showers. There is laundry room too! Location is great to many lakes and Mackinaw City/Island. Wonderful campground!

We had the best time here! We have camped at quite a few different places around Michigan and this is the nicest family campground we have been to. The owners are very friendly and keep the campground super clean. All the campers seem very happy and the kids have a lot of fun. Jon and Jenny had special games and activities for the kids the weekend we were there. It’s so peaceful here and the weather was perfect. We highly recommend this campground and will definitely be back.

This is the best campground we have ever been to. It’s clean, bathrooms, showers, and utility rooms are very clean and smell good. The kids all play nice together out on the playground, and everyone seems to get along well. We will definitely be back. Jon and Jenny are also very friendly. Super nice people. Our kids love it here and we will be back!

Great little family owned campground. The husband and wife combo were great to talk to and kept a clean campground. The bathrooms were clean and plenty of ventalation to keep the humidity down. The sites all seem fairly level and above average size. The wifi is a paid service from a separate company. It is very reasonable pricing at $5 a day or $10 for 3 days for up to 4 devices. Would definitely stay there again.

Nice campground. The firewood sold at the campground was nice, seasoned hardwood and was sold at a competitive price. Owners were very nice and helpful when we wanted to add another camper to our site, and when we had visitors for a day. Bathrooms and showers were clean and in good working order. The trolley ride and bingo night were both favorites of the kids.

Great campground! Jon and Jenny are friendly and helpful, and they have done a great job of bringing the appearance and maintenance of this campground to a much higher level. Laundry room is spacious and clean and bathrooms are clean and fresh. If you don't have a camper, check out the pics of the new deluxe cabin! It looks and smells great!
