We've been camping here for 20+ years owners are really nice and the campground is maintained and kept up, not run down.

I wish I didn’t have to give this only 2 stars.. I’ve camped here twice, once a few years ago with a tent and now with our camper. We’ve also done the canoe trip 5 times with a bunch of our friends. Our first canoe trip the owner drove us to the drop off, he was very friendly and wanted to bring our family and friends back. This time was different.. not only was the pool dirty/cloudy but our site was extremely difficult to pull into due to poor road design and the road being too narrow but also when booking we asked for a full hookup site with 50 amp service. Well the site was 30 amp which isn’t a big deal as long as we can still plug in with an adapter, the very nice ladies in the store gave us another adapter and luckily I noticed it was burnt before plugging our camper in. I asked if they had another but they didn’t so they told me there’s a Walmart about 25 mins away where I could go buy one, this isn’t a deal breaker but not something u want to do after a road trip to get there on a hot day and still need to setup. Oh also u have to pay for Wi-Fi, I’ve honestly never seen this before In general these things aren’t much of a deal but when u pay a lot to be there and was misinformed it puts a bad taste in your mouth, then the other issues just added to it. I don’t think I’ll return unfortunately The prices are similar to what you’d expect to pay at a corporate campground. As far as I know it’s still the same owner, hopefully they can make some improvements. I wish them all the best

We have been coming to Woodland Acres for several years for a family trip, with at times 3 or more generations in attendance. The family running the place is friendly and attentive. They are laid back, and understand why people are vacationing at the Saco. As long as your party doesn’t get out of hand, and you’re mostly respectful after quiet hours, no worries about a visit from the “fun police”. The grounds are kept spotless. Not a bad campsite in the place. Even the big-rig friendly sites with full hook ups offer plenty of privacy. The pool is always clean. Every year they make new improvements. I look forward to coming for many years, and watching the recently planted fruit trees mature.

Just discovered this wonderful campground. They have very big and spacious sites with plenty of privacy.we had a site overlooking the Saco river. This campground is a family run business. They are very friendly and accommodating and helpful. They keep their grounds very clean. clean restrooms and showers and a nice little store. We already booked again for next year.

Spent Memorial Day weekend at Woodland Acres, which was our first stay. I am always nervous about staying at Private campgrounds; you never know what you'll end up with. We typically stay at State park Campgrounds, because we know what to expect. Thoroughly enjoyed the campground, the sites are spread out well. Bathrooms/Shower house was clean and very well-maintained. Gravel roads throughout the campground were well-maintained. Sites were flat, of great size, and very few tree roots to maneuver around. Every staff member we came in contact with was delightful and friendly. We have already booked 2 more weekends to come back this year.

It was the off-season (end of October), and unfortunately, we had little luck with campgrounds; they were all closed, including this one. But by chance, the owner walked by with his dogs and, even though the campground was already closed, he let us stay there for free, even allowing us to use all the hookups. He was truly our savior. Incredible! A thousand thanks, and such a beautiful campground – highly recommended!

Had a great Labor Day weekend there. Friendly staff, clean sites, wooded and spaced out so you’re not on top of your camping neighbors. Nice place to relax around a campfire. Highly recommend! We will be returning again! Owner is friendly and is always improving the campground! Every time we return something new has been added.

Woodland Acres Campground is absolutely amazing! The moment we arrived, I could immediately feel the peaceful, relaxing vibe of the place. The campsites are spacious, well-shaded, and offer just the right amount of privacy. The grounds are clean and well-kept, with excellent amenities like hot showers, clean restrooms, and a store. There’s so much to do here—hiking, fishing, or just hanging out by the campfire. It’s also super family-friendly with a playground, game room, and pool that kept out little one happy. If you’re looking for a beautiful, well-maintained campground with all the comforts while still feeling close to nature, this is the place to be! We had an amazing time and can’t wait to come back.
