Yellowstone Golf Resort @ Aspen Acres

Overview

Yellowstone Golf Resort @ Aspen Acres offers a unique blend of outdoor recreation and serene mountain living. Originally centered around its scenic golf course, the park has evolved into a premier destination for RVers looking for a quiet mountain retreat near some of the country’s most iconic landscapes. The park is characterized by its rolling terrain and dense groves of aspen and pine trees, providing a refreshing escape from the summer heat and the more crowded tourist hubs nearby.

Location & Surroundings

Situated just outside of Ashton, Idaho, the resort serves as a gateway to the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. The property sits at a high elevation, offering crisp air and sweeping views of the surrounding countryside. This location is strategically positioned for travelers who want to explore the wonders of the Tetons and Yellowstone while returning to a secluded, natural setting at the end of the day. The lush greens of the golf course contrast beautifully with the rugged Idaho wilderness that surrounds the perimeter.

Amenities & Park Features

The standout feature of this resort is the 9-hole executive golf course, allowing guests to step directly from their RV onto the fairway. The RV park itself is designed to accommodate various rig sizes with full-hookup sites that include water, sewer, and both 30 and 50-amp electrical service. Guests have access to essential facilities including clean bathhouses, a laundry room, and a welcoming clubhouse with a pro shop. The layout of the sites is integrated into the landscape to preserve the feeling of being immersed in nature.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

While the on-site golfing is a major draw, the surrounding region is a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts. A short drive leads to the breathtaking Upper and Lower Mesa Falls, two of the most spectacular waterfalls in the state. For those who enjoy angling, the nearby Henry’s Fork of the Snake River provides world-class fly fishing opportunities. Additionally, the West Entrance of Yellowstone National Park is within easy reach, making it possible to spend the day spotting wildlife or viewing geysers before returning to the resort.

Who This Park Is Best For

This park is an ideal choice for active retirees and golf enthusiasts who appreciate a slower pace of life without sacrificing amenities. It is also a fantastic base camp for couples or families who want to experience the majesty of the national parks but prefer a more peaceful, wooded environment over the hustle of a traditional commercial campground. If you value quiet evenings, stargazing, and having a golf club in one hand and a camera in the other, this Ashton destination is a perfect fit.

If I could give this more than 5*, I definitely would! This place is beyond magical - it's sooo incredibly beautiful, set amongst tall aspen trees and a fun golf course. It's quiet, peaceful, loads of nature, and the people make it spectacular! Casey & Maddie are the absolute best hosts ever! You can also enjoy live bands on an incredible, new stage area on the weekends, an onsite huge bar area, and the convenience of any-time golf on the property! Plus, it's an easy drive to Yellowstone NP, Grand Tetons, and Glacier NP. We will definitely go back!!!

This is definitely in the countryside (surrounded by farm land), so it's very quiet and very dark at night. It's a rural campground with no paved roads, lots of beautiful Aspens, and some wild life (a Moose and her baby wandered around the course for a couple of days) - but has all the amenities of campsites closer to noisy roads or masses of people. The camp sites were ample enough for our large 5th wheel (we had full hook ups and a picnic table). The beautiful scenery and interesting surrounding area (Yellowstone Park, Grand Tetons, Mesa Falls, etc....) are just another reason to stay here. The people running the place are fantastic - their pleasure comes from you having fun. The golf is good and they have a full bar (oh my head!!). Cannot recommend this highly enough. Will be back.....

Wonderful RV resort and golf course. Stayed 12 days, fun, clean and FHU with golf at our doorsteps. I skipped the 11th hole yesterday, a Moose was resting on the green. Wonderful owner! We will be back.

This place is AMAZING!! The view is just spectacular! We stayed in the cottage and it was perfect for our family. The golf course is beautiful as well!! We played a few rounds during our stay. Our kids enjoyed playing golf with us also! They also have a nice playground in the campground. They just opened a new, full liquor bar we also enjoyed!! You have to try a pickle -back shot! We will be returning!! This place is a short distance to West Yellowstone and Old Faithful

Very fun place for golf, disc golf, and family fun. Staff is awesome and take good care of their guests. We have stayed here many years and always have a great time. Cycling the Ashton To Tetonia trail is just down the road. Close enough to Yellowstone but far enough away if wanting a peaceful part of paradise.

This place is incredible!! Casey went out of his way to help us into a spot for two over a busy weekend. From the first time I called until he walked us personally to the site, Casey and his team went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had a great time. A awesome time listening to local musicians with such a chill vibe. Besides the amazing view and ample space with shade at each site, it felt like Casey was checking in on his guests at his personal home instead of the business feel we were used to. The kiddos were super pumped to have a path for their bikes, playground, and even cornhole! We will be back for a longer stay sooner than later because this place has it all!

We arrived on July 7th and loved it so much that we extended our stay, TWICE. First, you cannot beat the location if you are seeking the beauty of nature, peace and quiet, and proximity to local attractions. This RV Park is unlike any other we’ve stayed at, and we are full-timers. It is situated in the middle of rural Idaho, surrounded by farmland and national forests. It is a “natural” RV park, meaning the owner keeps it rustic by design, which creates an authentic, out in nature experience but with all of the amenities you expect. You are surrounded by beautiful pines and aspen trees and a dark night sky filled with stars. It’s the perfect location to come home to after a day of sightseeing. Yellowstone West Entrance is just under an hour away. The Grand Tetons are about an hour and a half away, but the drive there over the Teton Byway is so epic that you don’t even notice the time. There are plenty of places to stop on the way, such as Driggs (awesome farmer’s market every Friday, butcher shop with local meats, Provisions restaurant, Grand Targhee Resort, national forest hiking), Victor (corner old fashioned soda shop), and scenic view pull offs from the byway (hiking trails). Jackson Hole has everything you could possibly need in terms of shopping, dining, etc. Back at the RV Park, there is pretty decent grocery store in downtown Ashton, and the Shoppe on Main has a fantastic gift selection and a coffee bar. If you need a big box, there is a Walmart 30 minutes away in Rexburg. Finally, the first people you will likely meet when you arrive are Casey, the owner and his daughter, Maddie. They are both down to earth and ready to help in any way possible to make your stay a success. Casey enjoys sharing this wonderful property and takes pride in the guests that return year after year. He will give recommendations on anything you need and knows the surrounding area inside and out. He’s on property every day making sure that things are running well and guests have what they need. He is the most responsive and participative owner we’ve seen in our travels. This is home to him and he really cares about the land, his family, and his guests. We will have a hard time leaving tomorrow and hope to be one of those repeat guests!

Such a fun place to stay with the family. Golf course was fun, camping spots are fairly private. Management was awesome, they were always checking on us making sure we had everything we needed! We will definitely be back again soon.
