Yogi Bears Jellystone Park @ Larkspur
Overview
Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Larkspur provides an expansive 100-acre resort experience nestled in the heart of the Colorado Rockies. This award-winning destination is specifically designed for families seeking more than just a basic campground. It successfully blends the nostalgia of traditional camping with high-end resort amenities, making it a premier choice for those traveling along the Front Range. The park focuses on creating an immersive environment where themed events and structured activities keep guests engaged throughout their stay.
Location & Surroundings
Situated conveniently between Denver and Colorado Springs, the park sits at an elevation that offers stunning mountain vistas and crisp, clean air. The local terrain is characterized by rolling hills and native ponderosa pines, providing a sense of natural seclusion despite its easy access to the I-25 corridor. The surrounding area of Larkspur is widely recognized for its rural charm and as the home of the seasonal Colorado Renaissance Festival, which adds a unique cultural flavor to the region during the summer.
Amenities & Park Features
The park is well-known for its impressive Cider Falls Water Zone, which includes multiple water slides and a massive aquatic playground. Beyond the water park, guests enjoy a heated swimming pool, mini-golf, and a modern fitness center. The RV sites are meticulously maintained, offering full hookup options with both back-in and spacious pull-through configurations to accommodate the largest of rigs. On-site conveniences like the Cartoon Café and a well-stocked general store ensure that travelers have everything they need right at their fingertips.
Nearby Attractions & Things to Do
Outdoor enthusiasts staying here are perfectly positioned to explore the Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak, both located just a short drive to the south. For those who enjoy shopping and urban exploration, the Outlets at Castle Rock are only minutes away. Families frequently visit the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo or spend the day hiking the scenic trails at Castlewood Canyon State Park, making this resort a central hub for sightseeing across the central Colorado region.
Who This Park Is Best For
This location is an ideal match for families with children who thrive in a high-energy environment filled with daily activities and social engagement. It is also an excellent choice for RVers who prioritize luxury resort facilities and well-maintained infrastructure over primitive camping. While those seeking a silent, rustic wilderness retreat might find the atmosphere quite lively, it is the perfect destination for travelers who value organized on-site entertainment and a community-centered vacation experience.

I don’t know why this place has 3.8 stars because it is absolutely amazing. The rooms are so comfortable and you feel like you’re in a cabin with beautiful views so many amenities I cannot describe you will have something to do all weekend long. Rachel in the front desk is the most amazing person, she makes you feel right at home and answers all your questions. I strongly recommend calling her to book your room. She is a sweetheart.

This is our family's second year "staycation"-ing at the Jellystone cabins and it was another great trip. If you have small children, something about this place just feels so nostalgic and joyful. From the bunk beds to the knotty pine, the cabins are cozy and comfortable. I also love that our dogs can join us out on the enclosed patio and that there are dog parks throughout the campground for them to enjoy during our stay. The waterpark area is absolutely perfect for wading with babies and toddlers, equipped with smaller fountains in shallow water and a miniature water slide that entertained my three year old for hours. There is also a water play structure for bigger kids with multiple large slides and a second swimming pool/hot tub area on the grounds. The playground and jumping pad are worth a pit stop, too. The staff is very young but attentive and courteous. There are several other amenities and activities we have not even taken advantage of but do look forward to trying in future years. I feel like this place is a great value for the experience and am glad to have concluded this last visit with another round of great memories.

We had a birthday party here for our seven-year-old son. The boys had an absolute blast. The front desk staff was amazing, and even open to the mini golf course early Sunday morning for us. The staff was amazing on the cabins were perfect for our group. It was off-season, so there weren’t any planned activities, but the jump pad, mini golf, riding around in the golf cart, and just goofing off cactuses well entertained.

We have returned for three years in a row now, and have had a wonderful experience each time! Clean, comfy rooms, amazing staff! SO much for kids to do, even if the pools and water park are closed. The pizza we had at the clubhouse was some of the best I have ever had! The scenery surrounding the park is just gorgeous! Love the wildlife that wanders on the park as well! And Larkspur is just a 30 min drive from both Co Springs and Denver—and so many amazing trails and restaurants! Love love love!

The campgrounds were just what we expected. Deer walked through our site in the evenings, which was a really nice touch. Traffic noise (I-25 and trains) wasn’t bad at all. The pool was a little cramped but understandable for a weekend. Some staff were great, others just seemed to be there for a paycheck. What we loved most was how close it is to the city, yet it feels like you’re far away. Overall, a fun and affordable family getaway!

We really enjoyed our time at Jellystone. The atmosphere was fun, and there were plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained. The kids especially loved the overall experience. That said, the pool area was very crowded during our visit, which made it hard to fully enjoy, and the food options could use some improvement in both quality and variety. Overall, we had a good time and would consider visiting again, especially if those areas were addressed.

Such a wonderful experience. We rented a cabin. The AC worked great. The deck was huge. We loved all the amenities. A dream for kids! One bit of advice c definitely rent a golf cart unless you’re OK driving to the pool, etc.

Great location and cabins were awesome. Loved the swim park and activities. A couple issues-only one bowling lane was working and the TV worked very intermittently due to the poor Internet connection. We enjoyed our time with family and friends here and would stay again. It seems there are communication issues among staff and when there are issues you may get passed off to another person and they may also be unable to assist. The rooms are a bit on the pricey side but you do have your own deck with picnic table and little gas fire pit.

Not a hotel, this is cabins & camping resort. Nice sites, gravel & most are level. Very friendly staff, early season, so partial amenities utilized, but much to enjoy full season. Traveled from NJ to visit family in the area, much to do.

Was hoping to book a stay, but will go elsewhere. The website lets you pick your site. Upon adding to cart for check out , it will ask if you want to lock in your spot for $45. Some kind of "system optimization." Sounds like a scam to me. Fees on top of fees. Called to clarify and the ma'am on the phone was rude and hung up when she got irritated regarding the question. Many reviews regarding customer service is poor. The owner will reply thank you for your review etc etc we will take into consideration and improve. Doesn't sound like it has improved.
