49er RV Ranch
California's oldest and best campground has provided camping since 1852. In 1852, camping was for the covered wagons searching for Columbia's bonanza of placer gold. Step back into the past and pan for Gold right in our park.

Please update your website...very cute place, but if you are over 30 ft. Don't attempt to go there. Drove 3 hours out of our way to get there, once there, no one way to fit into our site and of course we lost our night fee. It was such a nice place, wish we could have fit. The guy was nice, but our big truck and 40 ft. 5th Wheel couldn't make the turns.

This is a great RV park. It's used mostly by long-term RV'ers, but there is still room for vacationers like us. We stayed a little more than a week and found the park peaceful and enjoyable. It's a great location for all of your gold country adventures. They have a little store at the office for all of your camping supplies. Nice staff and clean facilities with bathrooms, showers and laundry.

The grounds are clean and staff is very helpful. They helped us back into our site which was appreciated since it's a cul-de-sac and very tight. If you are seeking a site for a home base while you tour this historical area, this campground will work. The sites are very small, short and close to each other. We had to park our truck in the site parallel to our camper, which took up almost all of the site. Quite a few campers are obviously full time. If you have children, there is no place for bike riding or an area to play. I felt it was worth a review especially for those with children.

This a quaint RV park with limited shirt term RV spots. It is about 45 minutes to Calaveras, 15 minutes to Jamestown Railroad, and 2 hours to get to the Yosemite Valley. It is a very quiet place to stay. Spots are a little short, so with our tuck pulled in, there wasn't much space. However, this wasn't a trip where we just hung out at the camp ground. From the Sacramento area, there are a few ways to get here. Check the map and directions ahead of time so you know how you're driving and are comfortable with the roads and pulling a trailer.

The 49er RV Ranch is an amazing place to stay! I will never forget the kindness of the owners and maintenance when our trailer broke a leaf spring hanger. They were gracious and helpful while we repaired the trailer. One of my favorite things about this park is it is clearly family owned. You can also tell how much they care about it. The grounds are well maintained and it is such a fun atmosphere with the gold mining theme throughout. It is also a great location. It is easy to get to many of the amazing places to see in the area. I highly recommend 49er RV Ranch!
