Wonderful place to horse camp. Easy parking with water and electric. Nice roomy stalls where the horses can see each other. Great well maintained marked trails. Bring shavings.

Absolutely one of the most favorite state parks to go to in Georgia. Best time to go is around Christmas time where they have the park all decorated for Christmas. They have a large open field where all of the businesses decorate a small area that is Christmas theme. They play the Polar express and have hot chocolate. The museum is open with guided tours. It’s a must see.

5 Stars My wife and I just spent a week camping at A.H. Stevens State Park, and it was absolutely wonderful! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the friendliest park staff—helpful, kind, and always willing to chat or lend a hand. We also met several fellow campers throughout the week who were just as welcoming. It really added to the overall sense of community and peace that the park offers. We spent our days walking the peaceful trails and exploring Liberty Hall, the beautifully preserved home of A.H. Stevens. It felt like stepping back in time, and the history was fascinating. Spring is a magical time to visit—the azaleas were in full bloom, and the dogwood trees and flowering bushes were absolutely stunning. The natural beauty of the park is breathtaking and made every walk feel like a scene from a painting. We’re already looking forward to our next trip. If you’re looking for a relaxing, beautiful place to camp with great people and a touch of history, this park is a gem!

What a great place to camp. The place was very clean and neat and amazingly peaceful. Site 11 was one of the nicest sites we've camped at. This campground was about campground 12 on our tour from Indiana, Louisiana, the gulf side of Florida, the Keys, St. Augustine, Savannah, and Charleston... The camp host was so nice and friendly and always around to help or just wish you a good day... We'll definitely stay here again and recommend it to others...

Nice and quiet little park. The campground was well equipped, and well maintained. They had a good number of pull through sites that were fairly level. Make sure you bring a water pressure limiter though. Water pressure at our site was over 100psi, which may be problematic for plumbing fixtures.

It's really large. I felt kind of confused about where to go. The front desk were kind but not overly helpful. Just on what you asked about. I never made it to the lake. Maybe next time. Definitely recommend going to see the Christmas lights at night. It was adorable and can't beat it for the price. I'll try again now that I know where I'm going.
