Been camping here for 11 years. Past few years DEC has passed rukes that make this place not fun anymore. I'm done with NYS campgrounds for a while.

Spent a few nights here with the family. The campsite is incredibly clean and well-maintained. Easy access to water and bathrooms from most campsites. Very kind staff. Conveniently located near a wide range of hiking trails, high peaks, a brewery, stores, etc. Almost everything you need is within half an hour. Will definitely go back!

Amazing campground super clean sites & bathrooms. Staff is friendly and checks in on you every night! Each campsite allows 2 cars and 6 people max. Campground allows pets. Firewood is available for $14 per bundle. Camping is only $20 per night, you simply can't beat it!

Amazing customer service and very clean campgrounds. In town for the IRONMAN Lake Placid event and very accommodating. It's roughly 40 minutes away but it's a straight shot leaving the campground when you turn right. Also huge shout out to Linda for helping me out!! Peaceful vibes!!

Showed up in the evening and got a spot. Lots to choose from. The lady working was very friendly. The bugs are worse than in other places. You can hear the highway, but it wasn’t really bad. The spots have nice fireplace type fire pits.

My wife and I consider this our second home. A very attentive and friendly ranger, great facilities, and a campground that feels safe and secluded.

Great place to set up when hiking the central/eastern high peaks. Affordable and well kept sites/water and restrooms.

Nice quiet tents only campground. Clean restrooms. Plenty of room between sites. Nearest store for ice is the Sunoco near 87.

Quiet and secluded. Close to nothing, which is nice.

Location is not far from rt 87. We have used it for a base to see fort Ticonderoga, lake placid, Champlain, white face and various fire towers and trails. Grounds are kept up well considering the mess some people leave at times.
