Leading up to our trip we were a bit nervous seeing some of the negative reviews, however, once getting here we clearly saw it was just a few experiences that got highlighted. Negatives we found true from the reviews: if you get a spot in the front near the highway, there is no tree coverage and spots are tight (we would not have enjoyed our experience if we had been parked up there). However, if you get a spot in the back there are trees everywhere, it’s quiet and not a lot of bugs (which surprised us with the amount of water around). We did also notice many of the teenage workers do just sit around on their phones. Didn’t bother us but it was noticeable. Positives: -TONS of family activities planned on Saturday to participate in! -Water park was clean, pool was warm and new. -RC track; we LOVED having this at the campground! -Outside of planned events on Saturday the campground still offers tons of stuff to do for kids. -delivering firewood to your site (which was great for us since we didn’t rent a golf cart) Biggest takeaway from this review: we will be back!

We stayed this weekend with a group of friends and I was a little wary based on previous reviews. I have to say, it was a nice campground and we did not run into any issues with staff. Pros: -Friendly staff -Pet friendly -Clean everywhere (sites, bathhouse, pool, amenities) -Big RV sites -Lots for the kids to do (train rides, hay rides, jumping pillow, playground, waterslides, arcade, weekend themed activities) -New water park -Teen room by arcade -Fence behind sites by entrance to keep kids and pets safe! - Delivery via golf cart of heavy store purchases -Garbage pick up at site -Shallow pools for kids! -18+ pool Cons: -Our site was close to the highway so traffic noise (but we could have avoided that by looking at google maps so that was our own fault!) -A little more expensive than other campgrounds (The water park is probably a contributing factor and is well worth the extra $) -Everything closes a little early (8pm) -No lifeguard on duty (which is posted) but staff in pool area Overall we had a great stay! I would try to book further into the campground next time to avoid traffic noise but otherwise loved it. We will definitely be back!

We had a fine time. Pros: -We had a couple interactions with Pam and she was helpful and not rude to us. -The cabin was fine, a/c worked really nice. -Very few bugs. -Bathhouse in great condition. -Nice flush toilets all over campground. -Golf carts were nice. Agreeing with other reviews: -All the water smells, similar to lake resorts, not insurmountable. -The pool staff was as checked out as mentioned in other reviews. They shut down the pool on us earlier than posted with no explanation. -The pools were…wet, slides scraped the kids up a lot though and the adults only pool should have been called adults only toilet, the water smelled like straight urine.

Cassie Fell -- I cannot reply to your comment.. so i am noting it here, hopefully you will see this. As a seasonal, I want you to know that the seasonals pay and put on many things for the campground. The parades, the only candy the campground pays for is from their wagon, all other candy thrown by the golf carts is personally paid for. The basket ball hoop(s) are paid for by seasonals (these tend to break often and not just by kids of seasonals) Seasonals have paid for multiple volley ball nets. Seasonals put on some of the DJ events (the ones that are not scheduled). Carnival weekend- the seasonals provide the baked goods and candy for the games. Seasonals put on other games, such as whipped cream kick ball. Treasure hunts, the money the kids find, is brought in by seasonals. My point is, many things that "weekenders" get to do and experience are paid for by the seasonals. Without us paying for that, you would have less for you and your kids to experience. As for "seasonals" and "weekenders" i am not sure how you would like people to address who is there seasonally, and who is there for a weekend... I have been to many campgrounds around the state and country before becoming a seasonal, and this is how most differentiate, whether you realize it or not. As for shade -- the pool has umbrellas, but they cannot be used when windy due to safety reasons. This is typical for any campground. As for the trees. They were removed in 2024 in the front section of the campground, due to disease, they were all dead. They will continue to remove dead trees, again for safety reasons. Depending upon where you chose to camp, will depend upon your shade coverage -- again, this can be any campground and this is outside of the campgrounds control. My understanding is that they will be replanting. I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your weekend to the fullest, but just know that the seasonals do everything we can to ensure that YOUR kids to get to have a great time. It's actually very sad to know that we as seasonals spend extra money to ensure that you and your family have a great time and its not appreciated. May you find yourself a campground you can enjoy.

Do not waste your money. We were unimpressed by the campground itself. And then the river started flooding. I understand that the campground cannot do anything about mother nature however you would expect that the workers would come by and check to see that their campers are not drowning. Had we not woken up our cars and tents and camper would have been floating. There was not a worker in sight. They do not care about their patrons. They are there to make money only. This has gone down in our camping journal as a place we will never go back to. We spoke to multiple other families some who left mid weekend because they were unhappy with the service. We spoke to many people today while we were being flooded, unhappy all around. The consensus for everyone is unhappy. The staff are disrespectful. If you can pull their attention away from their phone long enough to have a conversation you will leave unhappy. Whatever is happening on social media seems to be more important than doing their jobs or interacting with customers. They do not care about you. They only care about your money spend it somewhere else. 0/10 recommend. I give 1 star because i cannot give 0.

We had such a great time at Adventure Bound! This was our first visit, and honestly, everything exceeded our expectations. I had read a few negative reviews beforehand and wasn’t sure what to expect, but we were SO happy with our stay! We booked the Family Deluxe Cabin and it was perfect — super clean, spacious, and the A/C kept it nice and cold, which was a total win in the summer heat. The pool was a huge highlight for our kids — they couldn’t get enough of the water feature with all 11 slides! So much fun! We loved having a golf cart to cruise around and explore the campground. The staff at the pool and office were friendly and welcoming every time we saw them. They even went out of their way in the gift shop to find the perfect souvenir for us! We spent our days swimming, bouncing on the big pillow, playing soccer, hanging at the arcade, and just enjoying time outside with family. Such a fun and easy getaway — we made great memories and would definitely come back again!

We took a break from camping for two years. Adventure Bound was one of our Favorite Camp grounds that we’d go to when we had our camper. We would have friends join us who stayed in the cabins. We all decided to come back this year and wow have things changed. If you are not a seasonal, you’ll know it. You get called the weekenders. We were all enjoying the dance and karaoke with the kids and they’d only turn the Mic on for the seasonal, it was so rude. They probably shouldn’t have drunk locals doing the Dances. No shade what so ever anywhere. For how much money they just put into the water park you’d think they would have some sort of shade by the pool. The pool workers literally sit on their phones together at a table and don’t even look up when adults are asking them questions, I would hear them answer “I don’t know” and keep scrolling on their phone's. They sit while kids want to ride the water slide, it was closed almost the whole time, they don’t want to do their job. When parents asked them, they’d open it for maybe 20 minutes. Workers just seemed so cranky, rude and lazy. I SHOULD SAY THE FRONT DESK WORKERS WERE ALWAYS SUPER AMAZING!!!!!! They’d help with anything. Cabins were clean and nice as always, but hot water was always out. Kids had to shower in the freezing cold water. I wouldn’t complain it’s camping, but we also paid around $900 for three nights. Just disappointed, we obviously had a blast as we were with family and friends. But really they need to work on customers service and maybe not have the seasonal run the dances. I’ve honestly never felt like such an outsider at a campground. Just very controlling and cranky atmosphere. We won’t be coming back.

We didn't use the rooms, but we had a campsite. Everyone was very nice.

I unfortunately won’t be bringing or recommending this place to others due to the extreme disrespect and terrible customer service. I’ve never been treated so badly as a paying customer before, this included being yelled at, dirty looks, and just general poor customer service by the manager and other rude employees. It was a common thread throughout our weekend stay, including our group going to get ice cream. Their communication board legitimately says “ice cream served ALL day!” but when we went to get our one treat at 6:50pm on a Saturday we were given obvious dirty looks, and rude remarks about them going to be done serving ice cream soon and were told it was too late and they directed us to buy their popsicles instead when we were excited and eager to pay for the ice cream, after much disrespect and unwillingness, they served us. The last thing that was honestly disappointing was the lack of communication skills by their manager when I went in to ask about when the pool would be open for the day (it’s supposed to open at 10am). I was kind and curious on when it was going to be open and even offering some solutions to their challenges so that everyone could enjoy the last day of the pool when it was 84 degrees and hot! There was a line of people waiting to also ask about this. The manager constantly was cutting me off and interrupting me when I was trying to talk, ask a question, Or give a tip for the future. She raised her voice and pointed fingers at the group of people trying to talk to her. Not once did she acknowledge our concern, apologized for the inconvenience, & rudely told people they could leave when no one was even asking about leaving the campground. Needless to say, this was the worst customer service I’ve experienced in my life, it felt like I was being pranked as a bad experience but it unfortunately was just how they run this place. There was two kind workers, an older guy with a mustache and a younger guy helping with the train/ice cream, if they had more kind people this place would be a HUGE attraction and would change my review. Everything falls on leadership and I feel this place needs new management.

Cabin floor is uneven, ceiling is falling down. Not much left to do. No paddle boats, no crazy bikes, no miniature golf. Manager is very rude. This place used to be amazing when the Tolners owned it, but has steadily gone downhill since it was taken over by ABC. Last time we camped here we had no power the whole day. The water in the cabins is not drinkable and smells of rotten eggs. It also makes your laundry smell of sulfur. Nothing to do before ten am or after 8pm. Kids are bored and want to leave. Paid a lot of money for a very poor experience.

Our cabin was nice, but had clearly not been cleaned well before we arrived. The floor was absolutely covered in sand and dirt and there was trash on the floor in the bedroom. Shower had hair on the wall from a previous stay. Our trip overall was nice, but more care and time could be put into cleaning the cabins between guest stays.

The customer service was exceptional—one of the owners even helped me with finding the best discount!! Our cabin was clean and well-maintained (the A/C worked excellent also). All the workers were polite, responsive, and kind. They work hard at maintaining clean grounds, working equipment (we rented a golf cart), and a safe environment. The kids had a blast and had plenty to do. Bring your fishing pole for the creek! We look forward to returning when the new pool is done!! Thanks, Adventure Bound! :)

What an amazing campground for a long family weekend! Crazy fun. Lots for the kids to do. Some serious "bags" players here! If you're looking for a super quiet place this may not be for you. As I'm typing there's a band playing in the pavilion. Awesome fun.

This place is great for families! There are so many activities for children and unfortunately we did not have enough time to experience everything. A majority of the sites are well spaced, have tree cover, and are well kept. Overall the entire experience was very good; however, the facilities could use some repairs and updates.
