Noisiest campground we’ve been too. Dogs barking and adults/kids yelling both before and after quiet hours. Wooden bridge over creek sounds like a conitinuoud rumble strip during the day because of bikes and scooters racing over it though sign is posted asking bikes to be walked over it. Grounds are like an obstacle course all day and evening long with bike and pedestrian traffic. Difficult to park or drive as kids are darting everywhere. Someday there will be an accident. Geared toward seasonal campers who congregate in large loud groups. Bikes and gear and garbage strewn all over these seasonal sites. Not pleasant to look at Management appears to be MIA and left to young college kids. They are very nice but lack the self confidence or motivation to keep the grounds clean or enforce the rules.

This campground is located in the middle of the town (which really mucked up our Google directions as it thought we could exit at the end of the campground). It is a stone’s throw away from Main Street and St Fx university and thus close to every thing. The campground has two pools and multiple playgrounds as well as a community hall. It seems focused more on long term stay but surprisingly enough without the sometimes ginormous structures people build around their rv. We just came with a tent and were happy it was close to the shower/washroom building. The showers cost 25 cents which is a super outdated approach. But, the young staff did keep everything very clea so that was a big plus. Two downsides were that thee place to clean dishes was on the opposite side of the campground and access had to be requested. We didn’t bother as we had just few items to clean used the bathroom sink. Not ideal but as almost all campground, this one too is not really catering to people with tents. The other downside was the lack of access to a water tap. Again, we had to use the bathroom. The last issue we noted was outside the owners control, the very loud running of the big rig Air Conditioning systems. Especially when we wanted to go to sleep and the campground was quiet, these machines created a racket.

Well run site in a central location. We loved this privately run campsite for its great facilities and the buzz around the place. We walked around the town and ate a great meal there before attending a local arts fair in the park across the road from the park. An epic stay.

We found this campground at the last minute, but we were positively surprised when we got there. It exceeded our needs and was very close to our venues. Ground maintenance was always, I mean always visible, and making sure everything was clean and in order. It was quiet at night, even on weekends. Great pools for the warm days. Not to mention the brook that goes through the campground and provides nice white noise at night!
