We had a great time. Rented 5 cabins for a family trip. We had one rainy day and we spent it playing pool, corn hole and watching a football game together at the community pavilion. Our cabin had a kitchen but we loved the pavilion kitchen and cooked most of our meals there and all ate together. They have a volleyball net so I brought a large beach ball so we could all play together. We took the grandkids for walks looking for arrow heads. The cabins are really nice and the people who run the place were so wonderful and accommodating. They let the grandkids spread deer corn. We will definitely go back.

This place is amazing! It is very clean, and the property is amazing. I have my kids, and there are tons of activities to keep them busy. We will be returning. Also we have camped in so many places and it's nice because there aren't any hidden costs. I highly recommend.

Went last weekend on a spontaneous trip to the hill country. I rented a cabin and it was perfect. Very clean and cute. I had my own deck that overlooked a wooded area and was private. There are fire pits available outside the cabin and others available throughout the property (for times when there is not a burn ban). The swimming pool is beautiful and there is a really neat common area (covered) with TV, bar and kitchen area, and yard games. There is something for every age here, but a magical place if you have kids. Al's is out of the way enough to feel peaceful, but a 15ish minute drive to Boerne and about 25 minutes to Cave without a name, so there is plenty to do if you so choose. I personally enjoyed reading a book on my deck and even had an adorable black cat hang out and keep me company. If you want to go out to eat close by, I recommend Monte Alteza, a wine and tapas bar about 5 minutes away. I look forward to going back!

The ride up to Al's can be curvy and narrow, but it's a stunning place once you arrive. We had a 32ft class A motorhome, and managed to fit nicely. It had full hookups and great water pressure. There is a cute little store, friendly dogs, a beautiful large pagoda with places to cook, eat, and enjoy. The scenery was lovely, and it was quiet at night. There are also cabins for rent, and a gorgeous meadow next to a quarry. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed our stay here so much! The cabin was clean and the a/c worked great! The grounds are so peaceful and very clean. The owners are fantastic and very good at responding to any questions. The location is remote but yet close enough to so many places. I highly recommend staying here.
