We had a great time. Rented 5 cabins for a family trip. We had one rainy day and we spent it playing pool, corn hole and watching a football game together at the community pavilion. Our cabin had a kitchen but we loved the pavilion kitchen and cooked most of our meals there and all ate together. They have a volleyball net so I brought a large beach ball so we could all play together. We took the grandkids for walks looking for arrow heads. The cabins are really nice and the people who run the place were so wonderful and accommodating. They let the grandkids spread deer corn. We will definitely go back.

This place is amazing! It is very clean, and the property is amazing. I have my kids, and there are tons of activities to keep them busy. We will be returning. Also we have camped in so many places and it's nice because there aren't any hidden costs. I highly recommend.

Went last weekend on a spontaneous trip to the hill country. I rented a cabin and it was perfect. Very clean and cute. I had my own deck that overlooked a wooded area and was private. There are fire pits available outside the cabin and others available throughout the property (for times when there is not a burn ban). The swimming pool is beautiful and there is a really neat common area (covered) with TV, bar and kitchen area, and yard games. There is something for every age here, but a magical place if you have kids. Al's is out of the way enough to feel peaceful, but a 15ish minute drive to Boerne and about 25 minutes to Cave without a name, so there is plenty to do if you so choose. I personally enjoyed reading a book on my deck and even had an adorable black cat hang out and keep me company. If you want to go out to eat close by, I recommend Monte Alteza, a wine and tapas bar about 5 minutes away. I look forward to going back!

The ride up to Al's can be curvy and narrow, but it's a stunning place once you arrive. We had a 32ft class A motorhome, and managed to fit nicely. It had full hookups and great water pressure. There is a cute little store, friendly dogs, a beautiful large pagoda with places to cook, eat, and enjoy. The scenery was lovely, and it was quiet at night. There are also cabins for rent, and a gorgeous meadow next to a quarry. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed our stay here so much! The cabin was clean and the a/c worked great! The grounds are so peaceful and very clean. The owners are fantastic and very good at responding to any questions. The location is remote but yet close enough to so many places. I highly recommend staying here.

This is one of the most friendly campgrounds I've stayed at in 2 or 3 years I do over $120,000 miles a year and stay in multiple campgrounds I would recommend this establishment to anyone either riding a motorcycle or driving an expedite truck or bobtail it is awesome the RV spots are nice and the people are unmatched in friendliness and being helpful for any need you might have . It is centrally located with a pool and many more amenities. Gol and enjoy. five star in my book

The cabins were very nice and clean. Gordon. Jennifer and Jennifer's mom are very nice people. The scenery was beautiful and you can watch the deer graze. Will definitely stay here again in the cabins and maybe we will even bring our camper and hopefully get to enjoy the pool next time!! Thanks for a great stay. Lisa n Randy Clay

We had fun in our short getaway vacation. They have a pool, pavilion, volleyball net set up, trails, and other cool stuff. I booked this cabin last minute and oh, am I glad I did. The sights were great and the staff was so nice, we were treated like life-long friends. I am so happy we discovered this jewel and will definitely be booking for future visits! Thank you to Jennifer and Gordon for the wonderful memories!! 🙏 🥰

My husband, our dog and I had a wonderful relaxing weekend staying in a cabin at Al's Hideaway. I'm so glad I stumbled across this place. We'll definitely be back and have shared with our friends and family already. It's in a great location...close to so many popular places for sightseeing, hiking, shopping, etc. Yet, it's far enough away from busy areas you still have peace and solitude. The cabin had everything we needed, including a comfortable bed. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. We look forward to our next stay!!
