This has to be the absolute best place to stay. There's place for your dogs to run and play and a dog bath (if your fur babies are small enough to fit in it). There are playgrounds for the kids plus an area to play soccer, badmitten, flag football and a few other games.
There are ancient trees throughout the park with blue jays, cardinals and various other birds.
You're not far from stores and an outlet mall plus Owa water park.
if you feel adventurous the ocean is about 30 minutes or less away.
I'm dreading the fact that we have to leave. Mr. Phillip made a little bit of heaven right here in southern Alabama and is sharing with those that are lucky enough to find it. Thank you Mr. Phillip and may you stay Blessed.

Deeply rooted in nature, this site is a camper's Oasis. Enjoy the rural feel with modern amenities as you choose. The location is pet-friendly not by words alone. There is a dedicated pet park for your fury friends. Alabama coast campground is sweet home.away from home.

Alabama Coast Campground…. We stayed here for a week on a cross country trip. This facility was located via the Goodsam website and looked good in the pictures.  We pulled the trigger on a reservation due to price and the looks of the facility on the website.  We arrived and settled in to our reserved spot with no interaction with anyone whatsoever which was pleasant.  (I’m the kind of person that can figure things out all by myself).  A quick Look around revealed that the pictures are not representative of the actual campgrounds current state.  We quickly categorized this as a stop over rather than a destination facility. The potential is certainly here.  Dog areas are nice and the free laundry would be a bonus it the machines actually worked but stuff happens so not a biggie. One dryers heat is non functional so time was wasted on using it for 30 min only to find it not working.. Van Lifers and minimalist campers be aware there are no showers or indoor plumbing here, so you must use the facilities in your own RV.   Aside from the condition of the facilities the issue that needs to be shared is noise.  The proximity to the highway provides a symphony of engine noises from cars accelerating through the intersections.  Lots of un muffled exhaust in the area too.  Then there are the sirens lots of sirens day and night.  Hopefully it was to pull over those noisy cars…. The campground is also adjacent to an active US Navy airport so planes are circling overhead all day when they are training.  If you are a walker or bicyclist the options here are limited for exercise no trails or sidewalks not even a shoulder on the roads.   Still five stars are possible with small improvements because the proximity to the highway and airport are not under ownership control.  I only mentioned it to inform those that are reading the review.  Safety is good no issues with that.  The proximity to Orange Beach the naval Museum the USS Alabama scenic drives and shopping are all good.  So if you’re blowing through the area, need a cheap place to stay that is close to area attractions. This might be your place.  If you spend a lot of time in your RV with the windows open, be prepared to listen to the highway and airplanes.  Otherwise than that, not a bad experience.   Facilities condition, three stars location, five stars. Noise two stars.  Price five stars.

The best campground! We enjoyed our stay here. It was so peaceful and very convenient to everything. The staff was super helpful and very nice. He is hardworking! We can't wait to come back.

We so enjoyed this park. It is well cared for, quiet and convenient. We had a pull through site with full hookups.

This is my first time being in Southern Alabama, but you cannot beat this campground! It's dog-friendly and kid-friendly. They have three dog parks and a really nice playground right next to one of the dog parks, so you can take your dogs and your kids there if you have little ones. There is also another area that has a soccer field, sand volleyball, and frisbee golf. I've discovered a baby bluebird nest with little eggs in it, which was very exciting for this girl from Arizona. And they have free laundry in this little hangout spot called The Hangar, which is so cute. You can also use it for get-togethers if you like. Philip, who runs the place, is very knowledgeable about the area and is also very friendly and approachable. Also, for this area of the Gulf Coast, you can't beat the price either! I highly recommend making this a part of your stay in Southern Alabama.

I don't know what happened to my last review but I do like this place so much I am going to review again.  My wife and I have been staying here for a month during Feb to March for the last 4 years and are amazed how much it improves every year.  We are not interested in the fancy resort style campground but more into a quiet, friendly type environment.  Phillip, the manager is the friendliest, hardest working property manager I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Every year we look forward to the next improvements. Looking forward to next year.

This was our second year.  We love Phil.  He keeps a great campground.  Feel very safe.  It is like coming home to family.  So many repeat snowbird campers there, who look forward to seeing each other every year.  Actually, we will be booking our next stay an additional month.  Close to everything you want: entertainment, restaurants, and beaches.  Warm and welcoming.  Don't miss out on this camping experience

Stayed here for almost 3 months. Friendly and helpful manager. Very nice clean and quiet park. Great water pressure and good WiFi. LEVEL SITES!! This was first RV park we have stayed at where site was completely level when we parked our travel trailer. No adjustments were needed. Highly recommend this place!
