Very large KOA, lots of shade and plenty of things for the kids. All sites are back in, many seem a little tight due to all the trees. Mainly grass or gravel sites. We had a very nice concrete pad, patio site that appeared to have recently been redone.

After reading some of the other Google reviews about the speed limit and how it was enforced, as well as "mean" staff, I was a little unsure about what we would be getting, but we were very pleasantly surprised. The slow speed limit is for a very valid reason (safety!) and no one yelled at anybody about it. We never once encountered any staff member that was anything but friendly and accommodating. The campground is beautiful - hidden away in the woods even though it's 5 minutes from Grand Valley. There are tons of things to do, and plenty of ways to keep kiddos occupied, or perfect spots for solo and unwind campers as well. We really enjoyed it, and would for sure camp there again.

On short notice we booked a weekend site for our family and travel trailer and tent. I had read the reviews and kept my expectations reasonable. We were pleasantly surprised by what a great campground it was! We were in the full hookup area with dirt sites. In our immediate area the sites (about 6) were quite narrow but very long which was great for having space for a tent. We had the nicest neighbors and so being tight wasn’t an issue. Loved the shade of the pine trees. It was quiet and dark at night. Owners were very friendly. They delivered wood to sites. We went on the glow wagon ride and it was fun! Lake Michigan was only 30 minutes away. We enjoyed the beach and nearby Bass Lake Rec Area hiking trails. Yes, the very slow speed limit for the campground was a little annoying but you get used to it. If a few extra minutes can keep a child safe, Im all for it. We pretty much stayed on our site, didn’t use the pool (it looked nice and clean though!) or paintball, so we didn’t wear the bracelets. The WiFi was okay when we arrived on Thursday but was not good enough to check social media when the park was full on the weekend. Verizon service was weak. Plan to unplug! Lastly, there were only a handful of seasonal sites which I thought was great. We will definitely come back!

I stayed here 2 nights with my family. The first day we got here we had problems with one of the workers yelling at us for driving 6mph instead of 4.93. our car is automatic and at 5mph the auto start kickes in. Then day after i went to the bathroom which they say they clean every hour " which is a lie." The shower have old paint flakes all over the the bathroom. The showers look like prison bathrooms. Your walk in shower are cement with paint also flaking off along with rust pieces. also The sinks were rusted from either the water or them being so old. We went into the "general shop " which was the same lady that yelled at us had a horrible attitude and even my nieces and nephews that are 3,5,7 and 8 asked why she was being "mean." This park has alot of potential but they dont put it where it needs to be. The bathroom are a safety hazard for the kids. You cant walk around the pond without being worried your gonna fall in. And maybe hiring better staff would make it more worth it. They say we are all a family but thats kind a ruined with your workers. The owner is an amazing guy !! Also we are camping right by the bathroom and main office but yet have horrible wifi.

The WiFi in this campground is not good. Kept kicking me off and even when I was on it, it was not working well. Seasonal campers were bossy and not very nice. The speed limit is so low that it is very hard to go. Seasonal yelled at us for having 3 cars in our lot when we just parked there for a few minutes. The cars were no where near the road so it was not in the way. Campsites were nice and big though. Staff was nice and the hayride driver was awesome. We loved watching them drive by.
