Campground served its purpose for us. We were in town 2 nights for a tractor pull so didn’t need much more than hookups and a parking space. It is nothing fancy, but it is definitely sufficient. Bathhouse is exceptionally clean. Staff was friendly. Sites are tight. Most are far too tight to roll out your awning, but there is good shade so it works. Price is good for what you receive. Campground is probably 90-95% residential and very quiet. Wouldn’t go there just to camp, but if we had reason to be back in the area we absolutely would stay again.

Came to visit my dad while his RV was on site here. They have a nice fenced in in-ground pool, a fully functional old school play ground with a real teeter tater, swing set, and a mary go around. Each site has its own fire pit too.

Horrible campground. Water was like smelly swamp water and we were on a 6mo road trip and never once got sick. Here, in just 2 weeks we had the FLU, a COLD, AND a STOMACH BUG!!! constantly feeling unwell and smelled horrible after a shower and gagged when I brushed my teeth. 2 days before I asked my husband to GET US OUT OF THERE we found out they were evacuating like 80 of the "permanent residents" because WAY BACK IN MARCH they had failed the health inspection regarding their SEWAGE AND SEPTIC!!!!! They left everyone there while knowing that and let US come in while knowing that!!! These people do NOT care about the people in their campground! They just want $$$ MONEY MONEY MONEY. Horrible broken dangerous nasty playground and just nasty smelly everything. I hope they get shut down!

This is the best experience we have had in 2 years at a campground! We travel all over for work, so we have lots of experience with campgrounds. Ok so the "rooms" get 5 stars because it's your own RV lol. But the family and friends that run it are fantastic people. They are so friendly and so welcoming. The campground is very safe with lots of children around, and I felt extremely comfortable letting my daughter run and play. The atmosphere is very relaxing and quiet. I can't recommend this place enough. If we end up going back to that area for work, we will be returning to Amelia Family Campground without even looking for anywhere else.
