Campground served its purpose for us. We were in town 2 nights for a tractor pull so didn’t need much more than hookups and a parking space. It is nothing fancy, but it is definitely sufficient. Bathhouse is exceptionally clean. Staff was friendly. Sites are tight. Most are far too tight to roll out your awning, but there is good shade so it works. Price is good for what you receive. Campground is probably 90-95% residential and very quiet. Wouldn’t go there just to camp, but if we had reason to be back in the area we absolutely would stay again.

Came to visit my dad while his RV was on site here. They have a nice fenced in in-ground pool, a fully functional old school play ground with a real teeter tater, swing set, and a mary go around. Each site has its own fire pit too.

Horrible campground. Water was like smelly swamp water and we were on a 6mo road trip and never once got sick. Here, in just 2 weeks we had the FLU, a COLD, AND a STOMACH BUG!!! constantly feeling unwell and smelled horrible after a shower and gagged when I brushed my teeth. 2 days before I asked my husband to GET US OUT OF THERE we found out they were evacuating like 80 of the "permanent residents" because WAY BACK IN MARCH they had failed the health inspection regarding their SEWAGE AND SEPTIC!!!!! They left everyone there while knowing that and let US come in while knowing that!!! These people do NOT care about the people in their campground! They just want $$$ MONEY MONEY MONEY. Horrible broken dangerous nasty playground and just nasty smelly everything. I hope they get shut down!

This is the best experience we have had in 2 years at a campground! We travel all over for work, so we have lots of experience with campgrounds. Ok so the "rooms" get 5 stars because it's your own RV lol. But the family and friends that run it are fantastic people. They are so friendly and so welcoming. The campground is very safe with lots of children around, and I felt extremely comfortable letting my daughter run and play. The atmosphere is very relaxing and quiet. I can't recommend this place enough. If we end up going back to that area for work, we will be returning to Amelia Family Campground without even looking for anywhere else.

It definitely is a Family Campground, in many ways. Family owned, they make.you feel like family, very nice, and genuine people that own the campground, and the people that stay here as well.

We where in a popup camper and tent. It was very special time for our family. I hadn't seen my daughter and granddaughters from Texas in over a year. One complaint the showers and bathrooms where not available to us. We didn't have this in our camper or tent. So my son made a makeshift tent and put a portable toilet in it. There where 2 huge green porta John's that was sitting on the campground. Gross. You could get a shower there if you got it before 6pm. And was quick about it. Something about the well water and pressure. If you have a big fancy camper you should be fine with your own bathroom. I got motel room the last 2 days. Eight minutes away for everyone could get showers hot showers and stay in them as long as we wanted. And I have intestinal and bladder problems. So I could get up and go throughout the night. No we want be camping there anymore.

A campground with amenities you're not allowed to use. If you're in an equiped RV and/or a permanent camper resident have no fear. You'll have a bathroom and shower to use in the comfort of your own living space. Everyone else, sorry about your luck. Beautiful clean bathrooms and hot powerful showers are off limits. You'll have to use a porta potty. You can take a shower, but for only a few minutes and only during certain hours of the day. Trust me, Mrs. Ferne will give you the key to the bathroom but she's watching the clock. We were told the water would be fixed and be taken care of but apparently that wasn't the case. It's also been broken for a few years so don't be fooled by the fixing it soon promise. The office closes at 6 so get there before then or you won't be staying there for the night. Don't stay here, go somewhere else that will be able to provide you with access to all amenities.

I've stayed here for about a month &1/2, and no complaints. I'm very grateful they have long-term monthly stay, full hook ups, 50amp, electric is in the rent. Call for more information. Also, the pool as of today isn't working, but they are on top of things to get it back up and running, I dont know when though. Lots of spaces I feel safe here 💯
