This was a nice KOA. The area was beautiful. It was close to route 40 so you can hear the trucks and traffic. Still beautiful coming in October. The leaves were changing colors when we visited so it was really beautiful. The staff was very nice and we were escorted to our RV spot and he even offered to help unhook the camper!

We loved our stay at the KOA Asheville - West. The facilities were well taken care of, the bathrooms were clean, the general store was adorable and helpful, and there’s much to do on the grounds. Our kids loved it and so did we! The staff was friendly — great to interact with, and even provided a little scavenger hunt for our kids to do — which was a great activity for exploring the whole campground and “hiking”. The staff was helpful in getting us firewood & ice, even with our late night check-in. They were detailed and well organized. The amenities are vast — it even has WiFi, which we didn’t need to use. The game room is pretty sweet! Plus there’s a laundry room, if you need. We were there in season for the pool, but it looked clean. We stayed in a camper cabin, and were thoroughly impressed. It was well kept, and had its own swing bench + picnic table. The cabin area had a great fire pit and kitchen cooking area — which we definitely used. The ONLY con, was that there is only one outlet in the cabin (because it’s more primitive), but we made due and were just fine. The AC/heat in the cabin is an amazing feature. Close to the highway, close to the city… yet you still feel removed and in nature! As I said, we loved our stay and wished it could have been longer. We will definitely come back and recommend to others.

This is a smallish park that is well-maintained. The showers/restrooms were always clean and the staff was helpful and friendly. We got some good suggestions for quick tours. There is a good laundry room and a great selection of books in the rec room along with board games and puzzles. The sites are gravel and on a bit of a slope. The interstate is close by and you can get free earplugs in the store although I didn't need them. The store is well-stocked and brews some nice coffee in the morning. I would certainly consider stopping here again.

The place is quite easily accessible from I-40, and hence is a little noisy. The place is good and is clean. We stayed with friends. Had 3 campsites and a lodge. What I disliked the most about this place was the racial discrimination the staff had. They would follow us and our children to every place, look for slightest thing and then come back on us. The person next to us zoomed at night with speed at around 25 miles per hour (in a 5 mph zone) and was not told while we when drove at 10 mph were told twice. One of the staff member was stalking at our children when they were playing in the game room and when one of us reached to pick them up and asked if everything is okay, the staff said - yes, they are not killing themselves. A very crude way of talking!!!! We were made to feel that we did not belong there! Time for them to introspect and take corrective action!

This KOA is clean, comfortable, and staff members go above and beyond to make each stay 5 stars. Staff genuinely cares about campers and the facility is great. I will highly recommend to friends and family. I plan to stay anytime I'm in the area. Beautiful place! Thanks again
