**update, new management has really improved the place. Lots of activities, fixed up facilities, and still great campers! Poor maintenance and management has drug the place down over the years. Facilities in shambles and the bare minimum done by owner. Prices keep going up and amenities keep disappearing. Campers are great friendly folks and it is right off a lake which is nice. But that is bout as far as the good goes.

Delivered a camper here for Midwest Camper Rental Co. Nice campground. Well kept and very inviting.

Workers here are extremely rude. Especially the ladies up front. Very unprofessional and act like they are better than everyone. This is a campground, get a grip. It’s a nice place to enjoy a weekend if you’re able to avoid the management. Would be much better if they weren’t so entitled and think that they get to make every deciding factor. Terrible service.

I love atwood campground been going there for 45 yrs. But unfortunately it goes down hill ever year. Last year was an exception.

Good location if you're into fishing. Facilities could be better but not bad. The rate increase for primitive camping is a bit much. The price jumped from $12 to $30 per night for bare primitive. I could handle all that. What I can't handle is one of the managers. I believe her name is Christie. She got rude with me about driving 15mph on the 10mph speed limit drive up to the office. I could understand if i were driving that fast past the gate. There are usually a fair amount of people walking around, but before you get to the gate, there's no one. I can't understand her level.of belligerence. The other ladies running the place are nice but I will not be back.

We've traditionally stayed at the parent campground "Indian Springs" but it's become more of a trailer park than campground. We gave these guys a shot on a holiday weekend and they had a sweet spot by the lake. It was a very pleasant experience and the atmosphere was clean and well managed. Cannot wait to get back there this season. Thanks!

The two ladies running the place were quite rude. We had our camp packed up and out of the sight by 12 then went to the beach. They both came to tell us we needed the leave. When they say checkout is noon they mean you have to leave the property. I would not recommend staying here.

The Good: Very pretty area. Decent size beach. Nice size lots. Quiet. Friendly seasonal campers who ensure activities are scheduled for the campground (kids activities, bingo, golf cart poker runs, corn hole tournaments). The Not so Good: Inconsistent office hours. You don't always receive a call back. The shower houses are in need of major updating and repair and are not always stocked well. The roads are in desperate need of maintenance. Very large ruts (really tough on cars/RVs) and lots of standing water. If the owner would put money into keeping the the shower houses and roads in good shape and hire staff to ensure consistent office hours and consisten answers, I would give this campground a 5/5 vs. the 2/5.

I've been staying at Atwood lake for a month now and I really like it it's peaceful quiet you can hear all the birds and crickets all around you and mostly have a lot of shade at all the campsites except when you get closer to the lake you're more out in the sun the lake is nice I have not been on it yet or in it I am waiting for a pontoon to purchase for next season but if anybody that is senior citizens with grandchildren or veterans with grandchildren that want a quiet place this is the place to come to you will definitely enjoy yourselves relax sit by a nice campfire roast marshmallows or hot dogs or whatever even eat a nice dinner next to the fire but like I say at woodlake is one awesome place to be I enjoy myself there with my dogs have met a lot of people as well and there is definitely a lot of veterans at this place lot of senior citizens as well and we enjoy our relaxation when you're sitting by a fire with your family so if you want to come to a place at woodlake should be your first stop thank you and God bless

Too many rules. The 'beach' is barely even there with BARELY any area to swim. No trails. No golf cart rentals. If you go more than 5mph on your golf cart, you're just straight up kicked out. This place is only good for quiet old people wanting to do nothing other than sit outside their camper/tent and enjoy the wind.

I grew up here in the 90s and the early 2000s Always was a great place to be back then. Have many memories of fantastic times as a child here. After reading the reviews, I am highly considering of revisiting my childhood on top of introducing my daughter to this place! The memories flooding back almost made me tear up!!
