Beautiful place to camp. Wonderful and level camper pads, poles for hanging lights, pea gravel in the picnic area of your site, a picnic table and a fire pit. Water and electric hookups. No waste dump on sites but they have them as you leave the park. You need to bring a portable waste dump, you'll thank me later. The area itself is just beautiful. There is a bath house on each loop but, only one shower for men and one for women. You will

We lucked out by scheduling our stop here prior to the Memorial Day weekend. We were in Bear loop of which has not direct access to water. Because of that, the camp host and us were the only two rigs in the loop. Also, This looped worked out fine as we did not have any issues with bugs. The loop was kept very clean and the staff was very friendly with us. Entering the park was easy to do after hours as we’d already paid and the packet was waiting for us when we arrived. We had a pull through with a 25’ travel trailer and it fit. Bigger and it might not. The one thing we did not understand, on the dual parking areas, how, if you have slides can you use anything that protrudes. This is a beautiful park and should we return, it’d have no problem staying here.

Have camped all over Alabama and this campground, by far, is the worst. Not because of the site, sites are nice, not because of the shower houses, they’re clean. This campground is the worst because of the staff that run it. They’re unwelcoming, rude, and have no place in being campground hosts/staff. I feel they’re just out for the money and not for their patrons to have a fun, enjoyable camping experience. We had a large group and all of us said this will be our last time here. Unless the management of this campground changes, good luck with keeping it full.

Seriously, our favorite place in the summer! The whole area is clean and well kept. It’s just a good time all around! Swimming at the beach is the best!

I’ve saw some n native reviews but I had no such experiences. Staff was friendly all the way around. Great location for swimming spacious site we tent camp. Bathrooms were on par for a campground. Away from the loop at the water it was slower and not crowded. Easy access to deeper excursions into Bankhead and sipsey.
