Super close to Barkerville, nice price. The road was smooth and not dusty. The sites were a good size. We rented one of the cabins. The cabin was advertised as containing a queen bed, but we were pleasantly surprised to also find a bunk bed with a double mattress bottom! There was also a mini fridge, a table and 4 chairs, and it had heat!!!! You do need to provide your own bedding, but the mattresses were all covered in protectors. Lowhee and really nice flush toilets and the BEST camping shower EVER as well as 2 playgrounds and a wash up food prep area. There is even a small area, marked "Service area" where you can get a couple bars of cell phone service hahahaha

The best place I've visited for camping this year. Went into the town of barkerville everyday the week I was there. Prices are very reasonable, the people are great!!

Spacious sites with good amount of space between each so don't feel crammed in. The bathrooms could definitely use a bit more attention but better than just having outhouses. The showers cost $1/4minutes and temperature can't be controlled. Ours were cool to lukewarm at best.

What a cute campground, the sites are private enough that for the most part u can only hear your neighbors. 10 bucks for a tote of wood and a buck for 4 mins in the shower (u can add more). There is outhouses and indoor bathrooms so that was a nice bonus. Other then a little booking mess up, and really bad black flies we had a great experience there. We will go back again.

We drove in to Lowhee to confirm our registration. Leigh did a wonderful job of finding it and providing us with the best service. Enjoyed our conversation as well.

Services outdated for today's traveler. Site's need to be leveled and water at least added. Washrooms need to be maintained and upgraded. Staff very positive and helpful

Beautiful campground! Close to walking trails , Barkerville, and the neato town of Wells. An definately coming back :)

We were in lower Lowhee. There were two playgrounds for the kids and adequate washrooms. 2 of 3 showers were out of order. There is zero signal here which was a disappointment as we need to always be connected due to business and medical reasons. Also, we were told that the entrance to Barkerville is walking distance. I don’t disagree, however not for children 5 and under. I recommend bringing a wagon for the kids.

Good place to stay. Close to Barkerville and Wells. Clean sites with washrooms and showers. Two playgrounds for the the kids. Bring bug spray though!
