Amazing lake trip on the water can't wait for our next trip down!! Ok one important important Tip so the camp store has been closed for at least 2 years now. You cannot buy wood or ice when checking in to Bailey's point campground! There wood self-pay and there is a giant ice machine down the road also that you can bag your own ice and self pay again There is no camp store!

Such a beautiful and quiet place to be. Friendly camp hosts and convenient accommodations such as bathrooms, showers, and wash tubs for laundry.

We booked this campground in July and had a great experience overall. However, avoid booking the water-view sites in B loop, as they are currently closed, lack tree shade, and are fully exposed to the sun all day. The best sites we found were A24 in A loop; B17, B19, B21, and B22 in B loop; and C1 to C6 in C loop, which offer both shade and nice water views. The showers are clean, though the water pressure is low. The campground itself is well-maintained, and Barren River Lake is especially beautiful in the evening. It’s a great spot for water activities, relaxing, and enjoying a peaceful vacation.

We’ve stayed at Baileys Point for years now. It’s always been one of our favorite places to stay. However, it had gone way down. The grass isn’t being kept, so much overgrowth everywhere! It’s not normal to check yourself in and out. No one is ever at the gate anymore (due to volunteer hours being cut) This weekend we never saw a patrol, security or any host riding around. It makes us sad to see one of the top rated campgrounds go down so quickly. Can we not do better?

We were on site A19. The campground was not close, just right. We parked along the lake with trees for privacy. You can hear the boats drive but and get glimpses but the lot is still private. Shower/bathroom house was clean. Great campground!

We had an amazing weekend! Sure was clean and affordable. We had to get 2 sites because it was kinda small for 2 tents and our supplies let alone 2 vehicles. Shower and bathroom area always the cleanest with so much hot water that I’ve never run out! Noise is not an issue and very family oriented. Plenty of fishing areas and even brought our paddle boat and had many areas to use it. The only down side we had was that our site was near a main road that had through traffic so you had to listen and see cars all day and night and the worst was that their was a public dumpster by the bathroom that was near by and for some reason they decide that at 7 am on a Saturday morning is the best time to come and dump it. That was miserable. And I never mind the 5th wheel campers when we are tent camping and to be mixed among them, however this time we were right across from one that had a huge blue led light on the front that stayed on 24/7 and I have a dark room technology tent but it still shined through with that level of brightness so I wouldn’t want to camp next to that again. All and all it was a beautiful weekend but I think we will try and find a more secluded camping spot to go tent camping next time.

This is the largest of the COE campgrounds. About 1 hour south of Mammoth Cave National Park. Very peaceful, beautiful here on a huge lake! Plenty of space between sites, some are tent only. Most are level, easy entry. Great for riding bikes, walking, fishing, swimming... We have enjoyed our time here. Also fun watching the chipmunks and squirrels.

Beautiful, extremely well maintained. Stay in the wooded areas and primitive camping, it's really extraordinarily beautiful

Great place, with access to lake and place to swim that’s marked off with a shallow end for kids.. great level sites, clean bathrooms and showers. Pets allowed on leash. Family loves to stay here and will definitely return.

I had to pick a star in order to leave a review. If you like the sound of loud generators and not being able to here yourself think then this is the place for you. Apparently generators can be ran from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm. Worst campground if you're trying to get away for some peace and quiet. I should have just stayed home in the city.

This is my favorite campground to visit because of the variety of fish found in the lake as well as the peaceful atmosphere, 10/10 I would definitely go again

Pleasantly surprised pulling into the campsite after being welcomed nicely as the opening time m430 Came Upon Us. My five kids and I had a good experience Israel chipped in to set up camp and had a good view of the lake. Next time we go it'll be a little bit warm up I'll have to go for longer. The restaurants were very clean well maintained as well as the site itself. Great night for under twenty bucks. Making memories what's a good camping Time

Gorgeous lake front view. Good tree cover at most sites. No wake zone for coves so kids can swim almost anywhere. Good roads throughout campground. Lake is large so boaters can tube and ski freely. Can tie up boat by your site if you have a water front site. All and all a great campground so far. I plan on returning without a doubt.
