Bayfield Riverside RV Park

This was a nice RV park. The grounds were beautiful with a stocked private fishing pond, lots of walking acreage, and a creek running through the property. It is located between Pagosa Springs and Durango, perfect for exploring the area. My only complaint was the lack of attention given by the office manager (while on a zoom call) while we were trying to purchase items in the store.

We chose this park due to close proximity to Silverton, Durango and Mesa Verde National Park. Back-in site with pea gravel and grass in between the sites. Nice park overall. No frills. But we font need them anyways. Off-leash dog park on the far side - away from RV sites. Suggestions… add solar lights to dog park. Very dark at night! We were a little disappointed with site maintenance as grassy areas were rather high - we found out from a sign in bathhouse that mowing day is on Wednesday. So we didn’t get to enjoy a manicured site during our stay. They also need to use a weed eater… this may sound petty but how the park looks to newcomers matters. On a positive note/ they have a nice little camp store with quality gifts. Just make sure you buy a bag of ice BEFORE you arrive! $6 for a 5-lb bag! 😳

This stay was the worst experience we have ever had! Our 2 grandsons came with us and we were excited for them to share the RV experience. We were expecting to have WiFi / internet for the evening hours..... we couldn't even get any TV service, let alone internet! Then, to add to that downfall, the road traffic noise was horrible..... all night long! We would normally put on some form of relaxation sounds on the TV to drown out the noise.... Oh WAIT..... we can't get any because the WIFI WAS OUT! Then the water pressure was so low that our tankless water heater would not trip on because of the minimal water flow..... Then the rule about having pets on a 6' leash..... that must only apply to some guests.... We were awakened by our dog barking at the LOOSE LARGE DOG LITERALLY COMING UP OUR STEPS TO THE DOOR ! What made it worse was that this happened 2 mornings in a row! This was the second time that we stayed at Outdoorsy Bayfield. The first time, the only complaint was the road noise. We had recommended the site to a few friends that travel through Bayfield..... I will be calling them to let them know of our experience ---- and maybe go elsewhere..... When I went to the office about these problems the staff offered ABSOLUTELY NOTHING EXCEPT EXCUSES ! Even a small discount would have been appreciated. NOPE, NADA, NOTHING ! I seriously thought about packing up and going to another local campground. It was really that bad.

I have stay at Outdoorsy Bayfield several times, both in the RV park and in the Glamping Tents. Each time has been a wonderful experience. The staff is friendly, and they go above and beyond to help you. The park is beautifully maintained and clean. I would recommend Outdoorsy Bayfield to anyone.

This is our second time staying at this campground. A great place to stay. Quiet, well maintained, lots of nature to enjoy. I loved that so many of the beautiful pine trees well left for all of us to enjoy. On this trip, we spent four nights. I had trouble booking using my phone; however, i successfully completed the reservation using my laptop.

What a great experience! The staff was simply awesome and the RV sites are well maintained. This is not your typical campground, it is a well maintained campground that understands the value of maintaining the nature experience that could have been otherwise developed into revenue generating camping sites. If you like the outdoors, Outdoorsy provides a great space to stretch your legs and enjoy a little bit of nature right outside your door.

Great Location, quiet and serene! Beautiful views and great service! We arrived late on our arrival date. The staff prepared our documents and assigned our space for our visit. The park is beautiful and right on the river. A+++

If you are a light sleeper then do not stay here. The road noise is terrible and it's all day and all night long. We stayed in a cabin. It was not level and the kitchenette drawer kept opening on itself. The grass wasn't mowed at the dog park. There wasn't enough parking for cabins. Some of them didn't have a parking spot and had to park on the grass. A designated parking spot would be nice for each cabin because the rv sites are on top of each other.

Stayed two nights. Lovely park, all facilities are top notch and spotless. Staff was friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this location. Note: I have stayed at this park before Outdoorsy purchased it. Was always nice and clean but now they have tent/cabin rentals.

This is a great family campground. You can bring your own tent or RV or stay in one of their Glamping house/tents. Beautiful property, lot of places for walking you or your pets, There is a frisbee golf course, badminton, horse shoes. There is a pond and streams running through the property. There is catch and release fishing too. Didn't stay in the glamping tents, we brought our own RV.

A Hidden Gem on the River! Outdoorsy Bayfield RV Park is everything you could want in a peaceful Colorado getaway. We stayed in one of the riverfront spots, and waking up to the sound of the Los Pinos River was pure magic. The campground has some shaded, big beautiful trees, and the mountain air is so refreshing—it felt like a retreat for the soul. This is the perfect location for an artist or yoga instructor to regroup or reset. Retreat style RV Park should be a resort. The park is clean, quiet, and well-maintained. I see the maintenance friendly crew working on projects all the time. It’s the perfect balance of comfort and nature. You’re just a short walk from downtown Bayfield, which has great coffee, cute shops, and a friendly small-town vibe. Memories are made and I had a blast exploring the area, skipping rocks in the river, and roasting marshmallows at night. We’ll definitely be coming back—and bringing friends with us next time! Outdoorsy Riverside RV Park is a true gem for anyone looking to unplug, reconnect, and make lasting memories.

Excellent customer service, the luxury tents were amazing. Both kids (8 and 10) had their own mini couch pull out bed and the kitchenette was perfect for our needs. Very impressed with the tent as well as location--close to the highway but we didn't feel like it being surrounded by trees and running water. We brought our dog and found most people staying there did as well. Overall a great place for families like ours--highly recommend!

Absolutely gorgeous park... Streams throughout, wonderful walking paths, dog run areas, very well kept grounds. Our "premium back-in w/fhu" backed right up to the creek, the sounds of water literally lulled me to sleep ❤️ The ONLY downside for us is that the park isn't far from the highway and you can hear traffic. Also, if you are dependent upon the Wi-Fi, it can be spotty at times. Neither would deter us from coming back, we are actually planning a yearly excursion here going forward! Heather (management) gets a great review as well... Very accommodating and helpful ❤️

Cant say much about the rooms as we booked an RV spot. Very friendly staff and beautiful location in the countryside. Had some fun outdoor games for older kids. Could invest in a sandbox and playground for the younger kids.

We stayed at Outdoorsy Bayfield in Bayfield, CO. We were there two years ago when it was Bayfield RV Park. Since then, Outdoorsy bought the park. We were there in early August, 2024. So much has changed. There is no longer prime sites for RVers. Tent type cabins have been built in all the prime spots. The park used to be surrounded by beautiful flowers, which no longer exists. RV spaces are very tight, and the cost per night has gone up. Definately not what it used to be. The river runs through there, which is definately beautiful. Fishing in the pond was good. Probably won't go back. There are several RV Parks in the area that are much more spacious.
