Wonderful RV camp! Very welcoming staff, clean bathrooms, clean showers, clean laundry area, great view and free coffee, too! Within walking distance anywhere in town. Our second stay for good reason!

This RV park has become one of our favorite places to stay! It’s always spotless, welcoming, and has such a friendly atmosphere.

We had to make some unexpected changes to our schedule, and the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. A huge thank you to Kate and Wendy—they went above and beyond to help us, even when they didn’t have to. Their kindness, professionalism, and genuine care made a lasting impression on us.

This is our second or third stay here, and I can honestly say we’ll keep coming back. Yes, the pancakes are delicious, the customer service is excellent, and the park is beautiful—but what really sets this place apart are the people. They make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive.

If you’re traveling with kids or pets, this is an especially wonderful place to stay. We can’t recommend it highly enough, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit. Thank you again, Kate and Wendy, for making our stay so memorable

Valdez RV Park provided what we consider, one of the best experience of our lives. My husband had the privilege of working at this RV park for the summer. We are now honored to consider this wonderful family part of our own. Being full time RVers, we've seen some "interesting" parks. This one, while not even being biased, is by far the best, cleanest, and friendliest. We will 100% be making the long drive back someday!

This RV park is amazing ！the best private RV park I’ve found in Alaska. Well-maintained, clean, great view. It has free showers(Towels provided）,restrooms, and laundry (3$) facilities. They also provide water, sewage, and electricity. It's very convenient and highly recommended.

Wonderful place to stay! The shower facilities were sparkling clean, and the water was hot every time. They even provide fresh shower mats for each guest, which was such a thoughtful touch. The entire RV area was well-maintained with clean gravel, which kept us from walking through muddy water during our stay. The whole park was quiet, tidy, and relaxing. Plus, it’s in a great location — close enough to walk to local restaurants, and there’s even a coffee shack right across the street. Highly recommend!

We have been traveling in Alaska for 6 weeks and this was the best RV park we stayed at.  Nice location with a three minute walk to town or the boat harbor.  Beautiful views.  Wonderful large clean shower rooms with vanity and toilet and a new clean bath mat for every shower! The laundry room had plenty of washers and dryers and there was a large covered gathering area with tables if you wanted to be out of your camper but it was raining.

We had such a great experience at Valdez RV Park. We booked on short notice and we loved it so much we stayed an extra two nights. The employees were great at finding us space during their busy season to accommodate us. The owners were the nicest people! They go above and beyond for their guests. Our first two nights we had a front row spot with an amazing view, I’d highly recommend trying to reserve those if possible. The amenities are fantastic; the common area, laundry area and bathrooms were clean and updated. The bathrooms and showers were immaculate, brand new fixtures with great water pressure, spacious showers and lots of hot water! There are enough washers and dryers that we didn’t have to wait for availability to do laundry. No issues at all with water, electric or septic at either of our sites. Quiet hours were adhered to, it was peaceful. The campground is within walking distance to everything. There’s posters of events and things to do hanging in the common area. Our last night there the owners did a pizza party where someone’s came in and cooked a huge assortment of delicious pizzas in a fire pizza oven for guests. We had a great time mingling and we met so many of wonderful guests. You can tell how much the owners care about their guests and their property and that’s what sets them apart from the other campgrounds in Valdez.

John & Kate, the owners, are fantastic!.  Park right next to town, showers super clean (with great hot water) and all washes & dryers were working.  Us long-term road trippers appreciate that!  Spots ample size for an urban camp ground.  Definitely recommend this park!  If I return to “the last frontier,” I will definitely stay here again with John & Kate.

The owners and staff are very accommodating and friendly. Our group had a Pot Luck Supper in their meeting area by the office.  They had tablecloths and flowers on the tables.
Coin op laundry very clean.  Restrooms and showers nice and clean.  They provided s’mores at the large fire pit every night.

We feel it one of the best campgrounds that we stayed at.  We were at 30 campgrounds.

We would definitely stay with them again!!!

We brought our camper down for a week and had an amazing time! The hosts are so welcoming and generous, and had great information about gold rush days activities. Highly recommend Kate and John and Valdez RV Park. Wonderful hospitality, clean facilities, and amazing coffee every morning!

This was our first experience camping in Alaska—we were greeted by Kate upon arrival and she gifted us 2 camping mugs for our anniversary! She and her family are so sweet and welcoming…her daughter even provides dog walking services to guests…brilliant! The bathrooms are private and clean. They’ve even got a covered dishwashing station complete with soap, a sponge, and a hand towel to dry off your dishes. They’ve thought of everything! Highly recommend and the location can’t be beat!

Good location...fair price....but very little wiggle room.

Rich and Jo are great hosts. Camp had amazing views. Near the restaurants and dock. Very clean bathrooms!

Great place to camp, we had a tent site, showed up at 11:30pm and he was very helpful and quick. They have laundry, bathrooms, and showers on site. Nice view of the ocean and pretty quiet when we went

Awesome place! Nice indoor, warm bathroom and showers. Full hook-up sites with a lovely view. The front desk staff is incredibly kind and helpful.
