I would definitely come back! Only $22/night for the campground we got, and the area was nice. Only a few things that could use some improvement. There's very little lighting outside the bathrooms and showers, so you have to be careful at night so you don't go into the wrong one. Also would be nice if there was a bench to set your fresh change of clothes on.

The majority of the sites are larger than usual and very shaded. Roads were paved and provided ample places to walk and enjoy the view of the pretty lake and wildlife. Hiking trails seemed to be non-existent. It was clean and well manicured, but apparently a lot of the park had recently been flooded because of the tell tale debris left behind and barricades blocking entrance to certain campsites. There area no full hookups. Our site, #125 and neighboring site #124, although they look great on the campground map, should be avoided as they are extremely difficult to back in. After surveying the situation, we finally went around and drove into an adjacent site and drove into our site. We would return, but would definitely choose a different site.

Be aware that Winter restrictions are in place 10/31 to 3/31: no water at sites, no showers, nobody at entrance to give you a map or info. Fill up with water at the dump station on the way in. Signage to sites completely missing, we drove in circles to find our reserved spot. Frustrating as it was getting dark and we’d had a long drive. Weirdly laid out, our site (20) was on a dead end with no turn around. Not good when we realized we needed to go back for water before setting up. Had to drive across an unoccupied site with the help of other campers to recover. Location is lovely on the water. Enjoyed kayaking here.

Single night spent, huge campground with more than 140 spots. I lucked out and had a spot right off the lake with power (if needed) and trees. Quiet location well off from any roads, and my spot was walking distance to a restroom. The restroom was nothing to write home about. Open pit with toilets above, and a loose door that let most insects inside.

Area felt safe and clean. Pretty campsite and LOVED that it was so close (comparatively) to town. My family enjoys camping but hate the 2-3 hour drive we have to endure sometimes. Lots of RVs there too if you can afford that kind of thing. Haha
