Welcome to our Benbow KOA Holiday, gateway to the majestic redwoods, home of big foot lore and legend, land of endless natural beauty and your passport to a vibrant, vacation destination.
Mountain views and some of the tallest redwood trees in the world will WOW visitors to the Lost Coast of Northern California - and so will the amenities at this KOA, located on the East Branch, South Fork Eel River. Settle into an En-Suite Cabin, a Full Hookup RV Site (max pull-thru sites: 55 feet) or a seasonal Tent Site and savor the beauty of Benbow Valley. Families enjoy the seasonal swimming pool and hot tub. Kids love the playground and sports court. Planned activities are offered during Summer weekends, including Arts and Crafts and Barrel Train Rides. Campers can enjoy fishing and playing in the Eel River, a designated National Wild and Scenic River.
The Benbow Golf Course is now open. ($) Golfing is currently on a first-come, first-serve basis. Come to the KOA Office for ground fees and golf cart rentals.
Gathering spaces, including the Village Hall for groups up to 140 and Friendship Hall for groups up to 30, are available for group bookings ($).

Cabin 44. The cabin is located near the rear of the property. It stands alone and is well spaced away from the main RV park. A river flows behind the cabin. The cabin has its own driveway which is large and can accommodate big vehicles. The cabin is well appointed. It sleeps 4. A full bed and two twins, configured in a bunk style frame. The full bathroom is large and comfortable. Large windows let plenty of light inside the living area. There is a picnic table outside the cabin. The cabin is appointed with a microwave, small refrigerator, and AC. Some flatware and silverware is provided. The cabin is situated where it's less busy in the campground. Highway 101 is behind the cabin and elevated so the noise from traffic is minimal. The KOA staff is very friendly and extremely helpful.

A very nice campground with alot of amenities (pool, splash park, clean bathrooms, etc.). It's in a beautiful area for a trip down the avenue of the giants or any of the numerous parks with lots of ancient redwoods. It is also walking distance to the benbow inn for dinner. Unfortunately there is not alot of dog friendly things to do nearby. The wifi is also very bad as they stated at check in. The place was packed for the 4th of July weekend, as expected, and they managed everything well and there fireworks right outside the campround.

Pull through spots only and cabins in this campground. Full hookups at all the spots. Ok sized spots with a small patch of grass and a picnic table. Some have fires pits. The campground does have a ton of amenities. Pool, hot tub, kids play area. I saw shuffle boards and horse shoe play areas. Corn hole. They have a large laundry area, good bathrooms with nice sized showers with changing area. Good water pressure. There is a full golf course with golf carts here. There is the Benbow Inn next door with a very nice restaurant that you can walk to in less than 5 min.

Nice place to pull in and rest. We’re headed to glass beach. Nice park with a pull through long enough for our RV and Toad.

Lovely spot. People there were very friendly and helpful. Just very surprised by how gross the bathrooms were. At least the woman's bathroom in the main building. Toilets had black mold. Showers were just gross. Handicapped shower did not even have a hook for the hand held shower. The stall itself was stained and dirty beyond any cleaner's ability to fix. I travel fulltime, and in 3 years this bathroom is in the bottom 5. So surprising for a KOA that I have come to depend on for constantly clean facilities.
