we got there late and thought we were going to miss the morning tour but the person working the camp opened another tour for us and a couple of other groups that had shown up. we got to see the ichthyosaur fossils and ask questions. there is even more to see of the ghost town for the Berlin mine. Will definitely be returning again in the future.

Lots of interesting artifacts in the Ghost town. You can see the dinosaur bones even if the building is closed. The campground is surprisingly busy.

What a treat. We made it there is time for one of the 2 shlwo gs a day to see the fossils. They were amazing and well worth the detour. We have a small class C RV that we went out to the park with. It's pretty rough road for that. But most vehicles should make it. The Berlin ghost town is so well preserved. It is open for exploration and will be as long as visitors continue to respect the area.

With a 2 hour drive from Reno, it's something in the middle of nowhere. The fossils are difficult to see. The displays are ok. The ghost town is way more interesting. Be prepared to get some rain!

A. Rugged scenic wonderland! Brought my family and some friends joined us. Our kids had one of the best times camping ever! We hit it during spring, which is one of the ideal times. I'd consider going back in the fall as well. No showers, vaulted toilets but nice campgrounds. We stayed at the group campsite which was spectacular.

Really enjoyed our time here! We were camping in the campground and were excited to check out Berlin. It's really well kept, the rangers were so helpful and knowledgeable.

You are planning a visit to the dinosaur quarry make sure you are aware of the times it is open for a guided tour. Access to the dinosaur quarry is very limited. The quarry is inside a locked building. If you're unable to take a guided tour, you will have to look through the windows of the structure to see the fossils. However, without an explanation from Park Ranger, it doesn't look like much.

Cleanest state park I've ever been to! The campground was fantastic, the bathrooms were clean and there was no litter to be found. Sites were a bit hard to get in/out of if you have a trailer, and the road was a little narrow but the campsites were tucked in the trees and well spaced out! The Ichthyosaur fossils were super interesting, I highly recommend taking the guided tour. The town of Berlin was also in immaculate shape and I could tell it takes a lot of work to keep it standing. Unlike other ghost town's I've been to like Bodie, you can go pretty much everywhere and even inside of some of the buildings. Super well preserved, just watch your step there's rusty nails and debris everywhere!
