This was our second time staying at Big Pine Key RV and we loved it yet again. It's a really well maintained campground. Our daughter loved the pool. The family restrooms are a life saver with a small kid! Loved seeing the key deer and being so close to the water. It was a great hub for all of the exploring and paddle boarding we did. Already planning a return trip. If we didn't live states away in the Carolinas, we would come more often! Highly recommend.

do not reserve a tent site here unless you’re okay becoming one with the sand. the wind is intense, the sand is EVERYWHERE inside of your tent, no matter what you do. we paid $90 for a tent site for 1 night and didn’t stay more than one hour because it was so bad. we are frequent campers, so it wasn’t that we didn’t like it. it was inhabitable. the email states you can check in until 10pm. we got on site at 7:02, 2 minute after the store closed. we were told that we were late. our key wasn’t set in the box for pick up and we waited a long time to get into the gate. it wasn’t a good experience. when they describe the site as ocean side, they aren’t exaggerating, so that’s a plus. just bring a hard sided camper or stay in one of their accommodations.

If you want to ruin your vacation, I recommend this place. With the exception of James, his staff is very unpleasant, especially his general manager Savannah and her lapdog, whose name I don't know. I booked this place for my kids to enjoy a few days of their spring break. I paid for it in full, and it wasn't cheap at all considering the type of resort it is. My children wanted to take their two small dogs and we called ahead to inform ourselves. In short, I don't want to make this story too long because I want you to read it and know what kind of people these are!! I arrived after 7:00 pm and by 8:00 pm they were already calling me saying my dogs were barking and bothering the others, quiet time was at 10:00 pm. We told them my husband was taking the dogs back to home and their manager and their lady dog told me we had to leave because we had violated their policy and that I wouldn't get my money back. After driving 2 hours to get there with my two children and a small baby, I had to pack up everything and drive two more hours back. I got home almost at 1:00 am, driving almost asleep from exhaustion, if something had happened to me these people would have been the ones to blame. I want to report that this was an act of racism against Latinos. Don't go to this place; as I told you, it's overrated and its staff is racist.

Well, we booked two sights 9 months in advance. Next to each other as we were traveling with friends. We told the person on the phone that we needed 50 amp hookup. Said this over and over. We showed up and our sites were on 30 Amp. THE campground is tight, super tight. No room to put out our awnings, trees in the way and scratching the sides of our rigs. When you're pulling 30 and 38 feet rigs you need space to make wide turns. Plus... there are height restrictions to enter or you'll rip off the A/C units and solar. Kids riding bikes and ele tric skate boards with no regards for safety. I'll never be back here. Only good thing was the view after dropping $1500 for a cramped, tiny and overpriced stay. Next time Sugarloaf or Boyds.

Great place to park an RV or rent one they have. Place was clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Plus the have a boat ramp and slips to dock your boat while your there. If I had any complaint it would be the camper we rented needed to be properly blocked every time some one moves even a little the whole camper shook like crazy. Everything else was good.
